On to the important things, such as the dining "credits". Turns out the dining coupon you print out of the kiosk are considered a "credit" instead of a comp, therefore you must pay the after-tax with a credit, but not with a comp. I was baffled as to why I had to pay tax until I spoke to the manager about it and she said many people ask the same question. I feel that HR is nickel and diming in the wrong areas, and people are starting to get very angry. Of course it's not the dollar amount but the principle. I perfected the art of abusing food credits to the cent, now I get punished with a tax that I must pay.
The player's club is now merged with the "Bank of Hard Rock", which means you have one cashier, and one player's club person. They interchange their duties and it's very hard to determine which line is used for what, and this creates a line for no reason at times. There should be at least 2 player's club people at all times in my opinion, even though at slow times things can get a little hectic, especially when you run a promotion that requires you to visit the booth! Not only do people have to wait 30 minutes for the gift cards, now you tell them they can't even leave with them today!
I was tempted to just cash people's chips in line so things would move faster, if they had $100 increments. Somebody from Hard Rock please read this and change your cutbacks as this will probably cost more then you're saving in the long run. Did Ben Affleck really beat you guys up that bad?
I love getting casino mail too. I call it fun mail.
Quote: mcallister3200You just need a new system for mailers. put free play expiration dates, and promo dates by casino in a spreadsheet sorted by date and casino, pretty much a calendar. It's not that difficult. But it's less lazy so that kinda sucks. I've occasionally seen worthwhile offers online for Boyd that weren't in my mailer, some freeplay I otherwise would have missed.
I suppose but when you think about it they are the first to start this new trend, based on all the other casinos I get mailers for. Seems kinda chintzy for a young hip casino to cut back on paper. Meanwhile in similar casinos such as the Palms I get 2 mailers, one for table games and one for slots, also I had a coupon book sent to me.
Of course I can do the spreadsheet but I like having the actual mail to sort through, like I just got a comic book or something. If there was a mint.com for casino offers it would be pretty damn awesome but I would not trust my information to a third party site.
Quote: onenickelmiracleCET is rumored to go paperless next year. I would imagine paperless would be bad for players just because things can disappear online if they wanted. I don't like the feeling the rug could be pulled with offers instantly.

Not just convenience but proof as well.
Quote: mcallister3200There is an online service that tracks your players club offers, etc. But I don't remember what its called, I know that's real helpful. I think it costs a couple bucks a month though and I don't think it would track promotions.
I think that to
