I know you all hate SPIRIT but by flying with them, show your boarding pass at The D within 24 hour and get a $50 match play.

So how many people are going to be standing outside the Spirit gates at McCarran offering $5 for used boarding passes?

Or does the boarding pass have to have your name on it?

The boarding pass has to have your name on it.

You receive the match play as 2 $25 match play chips. Usable for one bet only.

And before some cheapskate asks, no you can't bet on red/black or pass/don't simultaneously.

LOL

When I first started playing stuff like this. If I had $25 or more. I would have whomever I was with (usually a date) bet her match play on odd/even and I would do opposite with mine. I wouldn't do it if the pit boss was around . Usually they were very relaxed about it, I usually had more than a few to run. Never really had a problem running multiples or betting this way. I may have been yelled at once or twice

Nowadays I wouldn't suggest attempting it and wouldn't want to do it.

I remember Boulder Station had easily obtained $5 or $10 MP's. The pit boss let me run about 70 straight on BJ. He said, "you earned them all, you can play them all" That was fun.

I am surprised by that because they send me free play chips and they are play until you lose.

Nope, the spirit promo ones are definitely match play. However, the dealer screwed up and paid us $75 when we bet $25+$25 match chip and won on 5/6 decisions.

On a somewhat tangential note, I'd say 75% of the time when I use a mailer coupon or match play chip or somesuch the dealer looks at me like I just placed a fried egg on the table. Then he calls over the floor that about 30% of the time looks just as bewildered. Do these places not educate their dealers and floor about current promotions and the kind of coupons that might show up at their table?

We didn't have time to do this last month but I wish we would have. Our tickets were only 23 each way so this would have made the flight free.

Thanks for the tip! I usually do fly spirit there actually... Cheap flight and I only ever really need 1 "personal item" of my backpack. So yay, "free-ish" money.

Are you aware they stopped non stop from this area? I am pretty sure you fly out of where I do. There are no more cheap flights. Gonna have to try allegiant next time but will have to pay for parking.

Not yet. Somewhere around Nov 12th is the last date. We need to petition them to bring that flight back.

Interesting that SPIRIT apparently sells advertising space on their Overhead Bin Storage doors for this promo. It was on about every 4th door.

We took a Spirit non-stop flight, but I didn't get around to going downtown for this on my most recent trip. I will probably be back in LV this year, but probably not before the promo expiration date of June 30th, 2016.

No, they don't.

As a dealer, whenever someone would put a free bet / match play / promo chip on the table, I'd be like YOLO I ain't checking that. Then another dealer would be like "Hmm, what's this here a match bet? Oh yeah you gotta bet like 10x the amount or something I'm not really sure how those work" or "free bet coupon? Yeah it'll stay up until it loses. You can even use it in the field and hope for a 2:1 or 3:1 payout since it'll pay the odds....or use it as free odds behind the pass line or on a come bet". And of course, idiotic dealer would oftentimes pay out a winning free bet and leave the voucher there OR pay it twice and take the voucher. Once I saw a dealer change a free bet or match bet for chips at face value. Boss saw it and was like "F*** this sh*t, seriously? I'm done" got up and walked away from the table on a live game.

I was really hoping the player would try to use it as odds on a come bet LOL.

They used to give out match plays and aces like candy every fun book, news paper, Vegas magazines, mass mail etc etc. $25 and $50 were not that uncommon. The biggest mistake I noted the dealers making was on double down and split hands. They would insist you had to add more money. Oftentimes when you won the hand they let you keep your coupon.

I've gotten all sorts of weird looks using matchplays/promo chips at some places. The D and Boyd are probably tied for most clueless, which is much more surprising for the latter considering they probably see 100x more matchplays per month.

I've given the match play coupon to the dealers at the D and I've had them spend 30+ seconds reading it only to hand it back to me and tell me to take it to the players club. I've also had dealers along with the pit boss give it a thorough examination before allowing me to play it.

At a casino that shall remain nameless, I've had promo chips and been given shit about using them. One time after placing a bet and winning the dealer said "ok now take your chips and leave like everyone else does" and another time the pit boss was near and after winning a bet and removing my chips he said "thanks for playing, hope you had a good time!" in a really sarcastic manner. No way the pit boss knew me or anything because I think I had used the promo chips only once or twice there before in the past year.

I have had a few casinos let me sit down with a stack of match plays and use them all. Talk about fun fun fun.
