This thread is to be used to discuss entertainment available at Excalibur.

Tournament of Kings is something to do once if you enjoy that sort of thing, but not anything to make a highlight of the trip. The food is good but not great; same for the show. Also, pictures are overpriced even by Vegas Strip standards.

This is very funny to me. JB says this thread is to be used to discuss entertainment at Excalibur. Almost 4 years later, on a forum that retains all posts, someone makes the first comment on the entertainment at Excalibur. I'd say the crickets heard chirping in the interim might be significant....
I do understand the first post was a placeholder for the thread. I just found it an eloquent irony.

Well, now you know. Check back in 2017 for a review of their buffet...

Agreed, Beardgoat. I found it humorous, not unhelpful, and I wasn't mocking the poster for making the effort.

Eloquent irony. How very poetic sounding.Quote: beachbumbabsI do understand the first post was a placeholder for the thread. I just found it an eloquent irony.
I think the consensus is that Excalibur is a Middle Ages themed "lesser place" that appeals largely but not entirely to those who come to Vegas dragging brats with them who will need some sort of entertainment while the parents take turns gambling and getting somewhat more plastered than their kids usually drive them to.
Perhaps its more a comment on the demographics of this forum's membership that few go to the Excalibur and far fewer ever stay there.

I did once - 2006, I think. Big mistake; the walls are paper-thin (and somebody in the room next to mine made that clear in no uncertain terms - could have been a family trying to get a baby to sleep while I was watching TV turned up slightly louder than they liked it). I was given one bit of advice: stay away from the buffet.
