Steak and Eggs and Toast and Potatoes at ELLIS ISLAND ( not strip ), about $ 6.99. Add another couple bucks for coffee.
Nice Buffet at PALMS ( not strip ), $ 10-ish, I forget how exactly how much.
Quote: ThatDonGuyYou can get a stack of (three?) pancakes at America (at NYNY) for $9 - $10 if you want blueberry pancakes.
They do all you can eat pancakes for $7.95 from 5:30-11am. They’re HUGE. I could never eat more than 5.
Quote: KeeneoneFind the closet "Roberto's Taco Shop" and save a ton for a solid breakfast burrito and Jarritos mandarin.
LOL, 99 Percent of the people on this forum have no clue what your talking about... But i do :) Discovered Roberto's and Don Tor Taco when i lived in Vegas years ago. I do not go to vegas with out getting it in atleast 3-4 times per trip. Chile Rellenos, Carne Asada Nachos, Tortas, Quesadillas bigger than your head.
Last visit in November we took a day trip to Zion, i made sure when we stopped for Starbucks there was a Roberto's close and grabbed a breakfast burrito!

You guys have never eaten breakfast at a good hotel in DC or NYC or London or Paris or San Fran or LA or Boston. That would be reasonable pricing for any of those markets, in my experience. Cheap, even, in a couple of them.
Yes -I vaguely remember steak and eggs with coffee etc being $2 somewhere downtown (possibly Fitzgerald's in the 80's?). A quick google found this website ( http://www.vegasbuffets.com ) and it includes details of the strip hotels.Quote: ChumpChangeWhatever happened to the 4am steak & eggs for $4.99? Oh, that was 1990. nvm
Best to avoid all orange/fruit juice/smoothies, though I’ll admit those machines are cool. Just 3 oranges have about the same amount of sugar (10 teaspoons) as a can of Coke, and 3 oranges will only fill one of those little 6 oz glasses (most people drink much more). Better to grab 1 orange before it hits the machine, eat it whole and you’ll be healthy & satisfied.Quote: AyecarumbaI've seen self serve machines in stores, and even in the middle of the shopping mall, that squeeze oranges for you while you wait. The oranges are loaded in a hopper, then fed via machinery through the squeezer. The juice is collected at the bottom.
I gotta wonder how sanitary that is. At least at the restaurant you have some hope the person washed the orange, and hopefully the juicer before processing the fruit.
This is the “What did you eat today thread” right ?

South Point still has cheap ass breakfast after midnight
If you're staying at Encore, you may get take-out food almost next door at Tacos El Gordo ("authentic Mexican tacos" such that HST and his attorney were unable to find in "Fear and Loathing"). And the Cosmo is right across the street from the Miracle Mile (formerly Desert Passage) mall, where you may get Taco Bell (it's one HIP Taco Bell with hip LOUD music and industrial height steel girder ceilings), Subway, Chipotle, Panda Express. There is also La Salsa Cantina Mexican Fare a little ways inside the mall where you may dine-in breakfast (two eggs, meat, Southwest potatoes, and toast or tortillas) for $4.79 per person. Inside the Cosmo relatively inexpensive for take-out are Hattie B's frieddddd chickennnn and Pok Pok Wing (Thai food).
When you're ensconced for two or more weeks, the casino won't always comp all your food if they are already paying for your suite, and anyway, even if you are RFB, sometimes you just don't want to deal with people and wish to dine in relative peace inside the room or on the Cosmo balcony with something other than room service.
Doesn't compare to say Cosmo's Wicked Spoon or The Buffet at Wynn of course, but Palace Station's "Feast Buffet" for 12 bucks (with a free player card, even at its lowest free level), beats fast food any day. They even have an "overnight buffet" (only one in Vegas) from midnight to 8am for ten bucks (with a free player card).

You cant beat station casinos breakfast buffet if your eating when you wake up in the morning. Gotta get there early before the line gets long at the omlette station. It is for sure better than fast food any day.
I agree, I've seen similar prices in hotel restaurants. But I will usually eat breakfast somewhere else, even when it is expensed. I just can't convince myself that any breakfast is worth $30. Maybe I'm just a cheap bas***d.Quote: beachbumbabsYou guys have never eaten breakfast at a good hotel in DC or NYC or London or Paris or San Fran or LA or Boston. I'm thinking the pricing info on this site may not be very current. The website's copyright is 2009.Quote: charliepatrickA quick google found this website ( http://www.vegasbuffets.com ) and it includes details of the strip hotels.
