There seems to be very little activity on this site and what there is seems to be about what food people like, and how they like cats etc.

I was directed here because I was told it was a site for ap's-but all I can find is threads started by compulsive and/or superstitious gamblers. Is there sensible discussion going on in a private or premium-access area? I don't mind paying.

Sort of. But many have been driven away or shamed because they revealed too much in this open forum.

Try starting a thread on a topic you are interested in. See where it goes.

Not sure if it interests you, but there is lots of AP opportunities discussed in the Sports Betting Chatter thread.

No paywall here but people don't want to kill the golden goose. And their are casino personnel that are members here. Welcome to the forum

If there is a paywall, I'm not aware of it.

This is technically not an AP site, but many of the smart people interested in gambling subjects do discuss AP matters, in between eating food and playing with cats.
There are also non-AP gambling discussions which could be of general interest, to both professional and entertainment players.

edit: You appear to have been previously banned.
May the cards fall in your favor.

It is quite a unique site. There are traditional and nontraditional APs, but mixed in with gamblers, system playing fate chasers, people attracted to casinos for the enjoyment and lifestyle enhancement, casino employees and game developers. Kind of like the mix you might encounter in... a Las Vegas casino? As all of the saints walked with sinners, APs should not be too proud to walk with all. Spend enough time at the tables playing as an AP and you will experience it all. Thus I find it absurd to hear a person representing their self as an AP complaining about gambling, superstition etc. What other deal-breakers do they have, drunks and cigarette smoke? How about people complaining about you disrupting the flow of the cards, is that going to make you flee in horror?

My experience is that the discussion of "inside baseball" AP is not well-suited to an online forum. About half because it informs casino personnel, but the other half is about protecting rookie and would-be APs who do not have the bankroll, experience, table skills and realistic expectations to effectively tackle a game with some advanced method from both getting themselves in trouble and wrecking the game with their overwhelmed thrashing about.
