And the post office certainly doesn’t need any help wasting money.Quote: DeMangoIf you are trying to return mail that is not first class, you are wasting the resources of The USPS and The American people. Please stop. As others say just throw it away.
Instead of every house having its own mailbox they could put community mail boxes in many places. Some Condo projects or Apartment complexes do this already but many don’t.Not to mention cutting down from 6 days of delivery.
Quote: mcallister3200A number of post office problems are that it operates as a service, not a business. Required by the government to do things a business wouldn’t make sense to do. They deliver a lot of Amazon and FedEx’s packages in places they will not deliver themselves but will take the order. My dad was a postmaster in a smallish town in a rural area for a while, Amazon truck comes and dumps a truck of packages on them multiple times a week.
Amazon pays a premium for the Post Office to deliver the packages the last couple of miles. In most cases, the carrier is going to the house anyway. It seems to me that Fed Ex and Amazon do all the heavy lifting and the PO finishes the run. When a former celebrity was ranting about this situation, I read quite a few articles that argued these companies were helping to prop up the PO. To be fair, there were some articles that had the opposite opinion.

My house doesn't have a mailbox. We have a community box for our cul-de-sac.

And I'm guessing that they are not making a lot of money when they send someone to a nearby stand alone mailbox, pick up the envelope I put in there, and take it to Deadhorse, Alaska, for $0.55.
Quote: DRichNot if it is coupons. That is why many people go to apartment complexes when there is a good coupon as many people throw them in the trash by the mailbox.
I couldn't count the number of "Free Ace" or get "125 coin bonus with four of a kind" coupons that I have used.
Players have to show their card ID to use coupons where I work. ID has to match the name on the coupon and the face on the player or no deal.

If you return it to Sender it's doubtful that person will receive it anyways, there's a good chance the casino will take them off their mailing list.

As the whale that I am, I get either $5 or $10 added to my comp account that can only be used for food, I think it happens once or twice a month. Not technically a hot dog coupon, but they have a hot dog/hamburger type restaurant that I like the hot dogs from. In addition to my player's card, I have to show picture ID.
