How much do Las Vegas casinos pay in taxes? From what I read, it is a flat 7.75%, but is there additional 20% corporate tax rate for large companies? That would make the effective tax rate 27.75%.
In Pennsylvania, where I'm from, slots are taxed at 55%, while tables are taxed at 16%. It is interesting how the taxes differ wherever you go, although I think everyone can agree they are lower under Republicans than Democrats.

Hmm... IMHO, Republicans, more than others, point to "gambling" as sin taxes that gaming players pay voluntarily. It's an easy win-win for them: "You don't like the gaming taxes? Stop playing games like those of the Roman centurions throwing dice beneath the cross."

This link explains all of the state taxes paid on Gaming in Nevada. The companies are still responsible for Federal taxes above the state taxes.
