Hello all,
Long time lurker and game creator here. I don't think I will ever do anything with any of my games so I thought I would put one up here. When reading about one of the focus groups, I read about casino KAT which reminded me about a game I thought up quite a while ago. Super Streak RPS (Rock Paper Scissors) is the name of the game, and here is how it is played:
The game is played with 6 decks of 54 cards each. Each deck contains 18 of each of the following: Rock, Paper, Scissors.
The casino has the option to choose decks with either 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 sets of "golden symbols". This allows to variability to the house edge (without counting, this allows a house edge from approximate 2% to about 5.7%, in 0.3% increments).
The play: Each player decides which symbol to bet on (trying to beat the dealer' card): Rock, Paper, or Scissors. Two cards from the shoe are then dealt face down (and never seen), and then the third card is dealt face-up. This card is compared to the player's bet and then the bets are resolved according to the following rules:
If the dealers card is normal (not a golden symbol), winning bets are paid at 1:1 (according to normal RPS rules), identical symbols are pushes.
If the dealer has a "golden symbol", winning bets are paid at 3:2, and identical symbols are losers (this is where the house gets their edge).
The cards that are seen are tracked electronically and if there is a case where a counter could have an advantage, the dealer will be notified and the shoe immediately shuffled.
Bonus Bet: The Super Streak. Players have the option of betting a dollar on the "super streak". The super streak rewards a player for winning 3 or more hands in a row (ties are considered losses for the super streak bet). The player gets paid at the appropriate level at the end of the streak, or when the player correctly guess 10 in a row. This is a sample pay table (w/o counting approx. 16% HE).
Streak Payout
3 10
4 25
5 40
6 100
7 200
8 500
9 1000
10 2500
And that is the game.

A carnival game sure enough.
I guess I can't blame you for making the side bet HE appeal to the casino, but where is your horse?

An old joke, you say "where is your horse" to someone over-charging, the other guy says "my horse?", then you say "Jesse James had a horse!"
the next time Dame Fortune toys with your heart, your soul and your wallet, raise your glass and praise her thus: “Thanks for nothing, you cold-hearted, evil, damnable, nefarious, low-life, malicious monster from Hell!” She is, after all, stone deaf. ... Arnold Snyder

Regarding the Super Streak... What prevents a player from hedging with equal bets on all three symbols for ten rounds? That would cost the player nothing (barring a gold symbol hit), but the streak would pay $2,500.
