Looks like you have to wait until Feb 1st to do this. Assume they are waiting until current year expires. Also noted in the rules if you did this in 2018 you are not eligible.

I also wonder if since Inhad an upgrade through founders last year if that will screw me.

Their site also says it takes up to 30 days for the tier to match. Does anyone have experience from past years, is it really not instant?

I’m in the same situation. No clue if this means if you did it in 17, but benefited in 18 you are out.

The problem I had two years ago was making sure resort fees were waived. A host usually was what it would take. Obviously have not stayed there in calendar 2018, so after Feb1, I’ll give it a shot.

I am thinking about flying out in Feb for 1 day to do this. I can either drive to AC which is 6 hours and pay $50 in tolls each way or I can fly to vegas in 4 hours for $60 each way on spirit. Can leave Friday night after work and fly home on red eye on Saturday night. Would cost $120 plus Uber's so it would probably cost me $200 to do it. But if it is an instant upgrade where I can get a show and no resort fee on that 1 night comped then I am fine with it.

I will be in AC in July but I worry that the match may be over or stopped. 7 nights in July and 6 nights in Oct would save me almost 500 in resort fees.

And it won’t get you in the DL’s for free because of the 25K point requirement. Limited benefits for many but may help as others do Tier Matches with FP over the course of the year.

I called M-Life and for VEGAS:

$ 3 in Slot Play = 10 Tier Credits

$10 in Vid Poker = $ 10 Tier Credits

At least that's what 2 different people said.

I did the tier match, late march of 2018. at Paris. They hem hawed around, and finally a manager came out and said we will tier match you. But it will not take effect for 7-10 days. You can play and use it for line skipping etc. But the Diamond dinner and free shows,resort fee's and free parking will not be available. For 7-10 days. Exactly 10 days later. I received an email stating all benefits were available. Except Diamond Lounge. Only 8 tier points. LOL

Yes doesn't matter how you get diamond. If you are diamond you get all perks.

Last year, if I recall correctly, the daily Tier bonuses DID count toward the doubled Tier score.

Also, if you have a Total Rewards Visa card, and spend $5,000 in a calendar year, you can maintain Platinum status on 0 tier credits.

And both TR and Mlife have military/veteran cards that automatically give you Platinum and Pearl status, respectively.

Not a bad deal if you're a low roller like me.
