Drank the 'Tier Credit' Kool-aid

i already had my 500tc for the 125tc bonus.
turned in for the nite but at 10pm, felt bored.
so decided to play another 500tc for total 1k tc to get the next bonus lvl (+1k tc).
instead of a $0.25 denom machine like usual, I played a $2 machine because I didn't want to spend 6hrs to get the 500tc.
Good choice... I went on a roll.
at the halfway point I hit quads and special quads (no kicker)! I was up +$1000.
I contemplated on quitting but decided to continue to get the bonus tc. only 250tc more I thought.
lost it all back and broke even.
Here's why I know I drank the Kool-Aid:
I didn't need any more TC.
I have enough to maintain my Diamond status and free access to the Atlantic City diamond lounges till Jan 2019.
since Caesars did away with Aspirations Lvl1 bonus of 5k tc for next year, I have no desire to reach it.
of course this is 20/20 hindsight.
if I hit quads with kicker in getting the other 250 tc then this would have been my new LUCKY machine :)
