Made Diamond at my home casino in Md and made Aspirations lvl 1 in Vegas.
I was playing $0.25 vp in Atlantic City when I got a tap on the shoulder by a host.
she said she just wanted to introduce herself.
I asked if I finally have a host.
she deflected the question and said she was the host on duty.
I'm up around +$1500 at CET in AC this year by hitting a $2k Royal the last time I was in AC (last month).
I probably only accumulated 4k tier credits (before bonuses) in AC this year.
so why would a host single me out and introduce themselves to me?
they never did that before in any casino.
I think I had sat down for maybe 3 or 4 minutes last weekend before one was next to me saying hello

You'll generally start getting a host once you reach diamond level.
That's BC you are probably up to shenanigans.Quote: RSThat's the most annoying shjt ever. I just wanna play peacefully without a host coming up to me.

AC is huge with this especially Bally's. Makes me feel awkward when I am playing then a host comes with people playing next to me.

That is the time to ask them for something special. It looks bad for them when they turn you down in front of other players.

I can never think of anything to ask for. Maybe a buffet or something next time.
Security against people doing FP on other people's cards.Quote: 100xOddswhy would a host single me out and introduce themselves to me?

Quote: WizardThat's happened to me many times and I appreciate the gesture. They can see from their computer who is playing what so the big bettors naturally tend to get attention.
The question is do they have any clue who you are. And yes, you are somewhat famous in LV, at least by name, maybe not by face.
Those who correctly believed that this was a mistake on the casino's part (which was fixed a couple of years ago)--- and the players were intentionally exploiting an unintentional casino mistake --- often were pretty freaked by having a "policeman" come up and say hi. That was a whole lot more unnerving than a "mere" host.
On my New Orleans trip earlier this year, a host paid me a visit as soon as I sat down the morning after I hit the big jackpot. I made Diamond that trip, but I was Platinum at the time.
Since I got Diamond, I have gotten a personal email from my host in NOLA, and I have gotten a "Howdy!" from the host on duty at most of the CET properties I have played since.
I didn't get a host until Diamond Aspiration Level 2Quote: RSYou'll generally start getting a host once you reach diamond level.
Quote: WatchMeWinThere are new hosts at Ceasars AC due to the shutting down of other casinos there. She was most likely just making her rounds and trying to get new players from the floor.... not uncommon.
but as far as I know, I still don't have a Host :(

I had one at Gold. I guess they look at ADT as much as the actual card level.

Quote: WatchMeWinIf you play enough (time and play amount) , it is good to have a host at a property. They are good people and can help you with rooms, food, etc. You must warrant the comps however. They go by what the system allows them based upon you time and play (theoretical play) or percentage of you losses. Once you have established a history and relationship with a host, they could bend for you here and there in the future.
so how do I get a host?
That's exactly what they look at. Lots of coin in, in one day will oftentimes get a host up your ass. Sometimes this is a good thing and sometimes this is a bad thing depending who you are and the situation.Quote: Zcore13I guess they look at ADT as much as the actual card level.

Don't let them scan your ID when signing up for a players card. If needed use the standard tactic that casino employees often use in reverse on them by quoting and making up some bullshit gaming law ("I am an attorney who's practiced in gaming law and it's illegal to require...).

That's exactly what I say when they ask me to spin off a jackpot!
Most of the time, I want to play as long as possible without a host. :-)Quote: Zcore13I had one at Gold. I guess they look at ADT as much as the actual card level.
For example, my CET hosts have provided me with the following non-email offer niceties
-Free club passes,
-Additional (more than 2 tickets) amazing seats at concerts in Vegas.
-Many limo rides outside of the standard "to and from the airport."
-Free rooms for your friends if you have a large party
-Sweaters, hats, swags
-last minute table reservations at 100% booked restaurants
-BEST OF ALL....i've had really good hosts quietly show me how much comps I currently have for the trip over their monitor, and how much more i can get away with....For example HOST: "Mr. X you have earned roughly $2000 in comps for this trip thus far and [shows the computer screen], however even if you stop playing now, I can take care of you up to $3000, so go get yourself some a really fancy dinners and a bottle of dom."
As long as you have a good relationship with a host, they are in the business of making you happy so that they get credit for you showing up and playing. Remember, they get paid a percentage of your theo. I've seen hosts back players rather than their employer when there are complaints and disputes. It doesn't hurt having host.
I've also booked under total rewards because i didn't want to be bothered with a host. Two weeks later, the host emails saying he saw that I booked via totalrewards.com instead through the host. He says he is guessing it's one of those quiet trips where I don't want to really be bothered. He upgrades my suite to a bigger suite and just subtly says to reach out to him any time of the trip if I need anything." Now, i know you won't always get as great of hosts I've been fortunate with, but most hosts want to take care of you.
