u get access to the Diamond lounge, $100 Celebration dinner, and convert rewards credit at a little better rate than the peasants.
$1 for every 175RC instead of 200RC
Is the Diamond lounge all that?
or am I missing something?
I know many people that use the Diamond Lounge a couple of times a week for free drinks and snacks. People also like to be able to skip the long lines for restaurants and go to the front of the line. I have had Diamond for the past 8 years or so but I may not renew it this year. I haven't played in a Caesars property yet this year.

Yes, there is a Thread Starters Anonymous.
They are a shadowy organization known as TSA.
U usually see them lurking at airports.

In AC food and drinks are not free. You are charged $10 per person in reward credits every time you go into the Diamond Lounge.

I am platinum and when in AC, the jump the line perk is the best. Over the summer we were the only ones in the platinum line for check it. The normal line had at least 100 people in it.

Same applies to Vegas. Lots of platinum lines. Hell even some gold checkin lines...and few people checking in ever notice these.
Personally I think most people overvalue being a diamond at CET. Maybe I'm missing something too though.
I know of many locals, both retirees and working folks, who visit nearly every day...they are getting value.
The Bally's Diamond Club is one of the best rooms in all of AC, with leather sofas, Boardwalk and ocean views throughout.
Diamond players also get freeplay cashback on machines that non-Diamond do not receive, although that is not listed on the link you provided, but maybe that's only for AC.
If you can hit 5K tier in one day, then with the bonuses you can get to 25K pretty quickly too, the level at which admission is free for 2 people, no RC charge.
My wife hit a couple of royals and made 25K without losing...she was ahead.
Heck, Alan Mendelson said he made 7-stars while still in the black, so it's definitely possible.

Semi correct. If you earn 25,000 TC in a year, you dont pay the $10 on each visit. This rule was put into place a few years ago because of locals barely getting Diamond and then eating and drinking at the Diamond Club 6-7 days a week all year long. Not a bad deal.
Also the clubs in AC offer far more in food than the ones in Vegas do.
Quote: coachbellyThe Diamond Clubs in AC are pretty nice, especially if you like to drink for "free" away from the casino.

I agree. I play poker ( a little different as I make a little money doing it) but going diamond last year was well worth it. This year i'm pushing for 25000 points to get into the diamond club free as many times as I want. I may have to play on thanksgiving and Christmas day but hell free food is free food.
The buffet at the atlantic city Diamond clubs are always good (though old timers always complain) though I understand vegas does not have a buffet in the diamond club...
I also get cheaper rooms and more comped rooms...though I understand slot players gets these anyway...but poker players are not usually treated very well.. apparent having 10 to 15 thousand raked off my pots a year is not the same as loosing 10 to 15 thousand playing the slots.
Diamond players can also ask for upgrades. Last week I ask for a soaking tub in my room when I checked in they gave me a huge corner suit with a Jacuzzi bath ...You also can get an extra bed sent up if you need it free...and entrance to the pool and spa for free even if you not staying at the hotels...(ac charges $10, and $5 if you staying at the hotel)
I have a friend who got diamond with over 25000 point in 2013. He been unemployed and homeless for the last 10 month or so and pretty much lives in AC off his diamond membership...eating free...sharing comped rooms with me a few days a week (I pay the taxes but he gets me in the diamond club free and gets me extra comped rooms). Sleeping by the pool and showering in the spa....If you got to be homeless its the only way to go..

What's this $100 CELEBRATION DINNER....been Diamond for 3 or 4 years and have never been offered that
Told my mother back in April to cash out the points in Windsor ... she didn't and from what she was told they no longer offer that option there
Diamond Lounge in Windsor is free and from what I hear has a good selection for food to eat
Ya gotta ask for that $100 CELEBRATION DINNER at the TR desk, Coilman. I just found out I have a $500 CELEBRATION DINNER that I haven't used yet!Quote: coilmanWhat's this $100 CELEBRATION DINNER....been Diamond for 3 or 4 years and have never been offered that

You could sponsor a wov meet in Cleveland with $500
Very nice, GWAE. I thought of taking 18 homeless people to the buffet. (The only restaurant you can use comps at at HC Cleveland is the buffet).Quote: GWAEYou could sponsor a wov meet in Cleveland with $500
Seven Stars lounges have a full bar, seating on comfy chairs, and a full menu of appetizers, soups, salads, entrees and desserts from which you can order ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING YOU WANT. Also, you have personal waitress service. It is AWESOME.
The gift give away isn't tied to diamond, but earning enough points for diamond insures a nice haul. I should get enough gas for a year.
Similarly, it's not a diamond thing per se, but you can use all the rewards credits you pile up at the nice restaurants. That's a big deal to me, because you're getting the full value of those dollars. The nice restaurants cost the same as they would any other place. Some other casinos will try to force you into their restaurants/buffets that have inflated prices. Give me a $50 steak for $50, rather than a $8 burger for $22.
Free snacks will be huge for me. I'm tired of having to choose between an eight dollar yogurt or a ten dollar slice of pizza and going hungry.

According to their website, you can if you use REWARDS CREDITS at a 50 % reduced value, so it might not make sense to do. If you are referring to discretionary comps only, I'm sure you are right.
Unfortunately, the Horseshoe Cleveland buffet had slipped noticeably the last time I was there. Still good, but definitely not what it was before. Partner Restaurant Source details:
Horseshoe Casino is excited to share the best restaurants in Downtown Cleveland with our guests. First visit Total Rewards at the casino to exchange your Reward Credits for a comp (200 Reward Credits = $1.00), then take that comp to the restaurant and enjoy your meal. Total Rewards® Members can redeem credits at any of our great partners.
