Been to PARIS seen they put one in at Flamingo but really never spent anytime seeing where they are at the other hotels
Visited the PARIS one to use my laptop when I was there before Christmas.... not paying for it when I can get it for free inside the lounge or outside near the glass. Drinks have always been very good, and the free finger food enough to hold you over till dinner time
Whats the standard tip to leave your server after a visit?
Standard tip for any comped meal/drink is to estimate what it would have cost and leave 15-20% for good service. Finger food and a drink should be about 2, maybe 3 if it's generous servings or you had a second drink. More is always appreciated.
I don't think Quad has one either.
The diamond lounge at Planet Hollywood is upstairs.
At Caesars it is around the corner from the VIP diamond/7star check in - in the Augustus /Octavius Tower check in area.
Tip depends on how long you stay, how many drinks you order etc. We usually tip $5 -10 for 2 drinks.
I do a little live poker coaching, and it's also a great place to take my students.
Quote: EazzyI love the diamond club in AC...all the properties have them .
The Diamond Lounge in Bally's has been closed for almost a year. You have go to Caesars.
Quote: FatGeezusThe Diamond Lounge in Bally's has been closed for almost a year. You have go to Caesars.
Wow, didn't know that, have not been to Ballys for a couple years at least. They fairly recently renovated it, and it looked great. But like many things at Ballys, they seem to close them down.
Quote: FatGeezusThe Diamond Lounge in Bally's has been closed for almost a year. You have go to Caesars.
You are mistaken, Bally's AC Diamond lounge has not closed, it has been and continues to be open, and is a great room.
You are probably thinking about the buffet at Bally's...The Viginia City Buffet in the Wild West Casino section...that has closed.
Quote: IbeatyouracesThat same beer is probably just over $1.00 in a party store.
Or buy a suitcase of Old Milwaukee beer for approximately 50 cents a beer, stay at home, catch a buzz and save a s***load of money.
Quote: treetopbuddyDiamond Lounge at Horseshoe Cincy is nice. Beers are 3 dollars in the lounge and 4 bucks everywhere else. Smokin' deal. Simply lose big and you get 3 dollars beers as a booby prize.
Horseshoe Cleveland is even better, the Diamond Lounge there has $2.00 beers and I think it was $1.00 rum and cokes.

Why do you have to pay for cocktails in the diamond lounge? Is it an Indian casino?
They could legally charge $0.01, though, I believe, so I don't know why they don't do that.
Liquor laws are strict in Ohio. There's probably a reason beyond with implications elsewhere such as happy hour limitations.Quote: Mission146IBeatYourAces got it in one, Ohio being one of them.

Some provinces in Canada, you cannot have a happy hour. Period. Absolutely no discount on alcohol or free alcohol.
Quote: soxfanThe Embassy Suites hotel in Cleveland has a happy hour everyday, from 5-7 where they offer FREE welldrinks and draft beer, hey hey. So it isn't against the law to offer free drinks in the state of Ohio, hey hey.
It's against the law for a casino to do it, hey hey.
Quote: zippyboyDiamond Lounge at Rio is through the high-limit slot room, up a dedicated elevator (show card to the guard at the door). I'd put food at them in this descending order: 1st, Caesars, then Harrahs, Flamingo, Rio, Paris. My opinion as of 2011.
Caesers is great although its always full. Too many high rollers corralled in the lounge. I like pH they had a great beef wellington during hot chow hour
Quote: bwDo any of the Diamond lounges in Las Vegas charge $10 comps for entrance like the ones in Atlantic City do or are they totally free?
They are free if you can get in. Sometimes the lines are so long (especially at Casesar's Palace) it is hard to get in unless you are a 7 star or at the front of a long line.
At Atlantic City - is it $10 comps if you have less than 25K tier points? Does that mean now or what you finished 2013 with?

25K as of 12/31/13 will qualify you for free admission for you and 1 guest until March 2015,
otherwise 15K - 24999K will cost 10 comp$ for you and 10$ for your first guest.
If you did not reach the 25K threshold in 2013, and somehow have gotten there already in 2014,
well OK then...you are good until March 2016.

Same in the state of Indiana.

I guess several states do not comp cocktails. I always gamble in Nevada, Louisiana, Mississippi or Atlantic City and have never had an issue.
Quote: ChesterDogHarrah's Rincon's Diamond Lounge just serves small snacks. Can someone recommend how much I should tip if I order just one cola from the server?
I will not recommend what you tip, but I would tip $1.
Quote: ChesterDogHarrah's Rincon's Diamond Lounge just serves small snacks. Can someone recommend how much I should tip if I order just one cola from the server?
We could get into a huge debate about tipping in general but I see the DL as a step up from drink service at a slot or table. They have to remove the plates and wipe the table down. It never hurts to throw an extra dollar or 2 down. You can afford it and they appreciate it.
I often tip $1 for minor service.Quote: ChesterDogHarrah's Rincon's Diamond Lounge just serves small snacks. Can someone recommend how much I should tip if I order just one cola from the server?
SoCal (formerly Rincon) is self-serve for sodas. And no free alcohol in California (except for invitation-only private events)
4-8 pm Food hours
4 pm? They bring out chips & salsa, and fruit plate (I think chips come out before fruit plate).
-> They restock the fruit plate until 6 pm, but afterwards when the fruit disappears, it's gone.
4-6 pm Finger food (only one type each day), which a server brings to each person (empanadas, meatballs, wontons, etc...)
-> As much as you like, but it's a pain that it isn't self-serve.
6-8 pm Dessert plates (cakes, dessert cups), also brought individually to each person.
-----
Las Vegas: Paris always has celery, chips, dip, bread, desserts
4:30-6:30 pm Chicken wings (pretty good, juicy, not overcooked) & a second item (potato skins, etc...)
Haven't tried the other Diamond Lounges this trip. One lady says Harrahs (food begins at 4 pm) has more variety than Flamingo & Paris (and Bally's is still closed).
Caesar's has a Seven Stars lounge (at least it did last trip in April) open 24 hrs/day.
Drinks below $35 comped without using pts. Fresh watermelon juice.
Depending on what I order, I tip $1-5.
Caesars (as of a few weeks ago at least) still has the pitiful seven stars lounge, if you can even call it that. Last time I was in there, although pretty late, had some chips and pretzels I think and that's it. Had to settle and eat at the peasant lounge ;) (what do they call it, "diamond lounge" or something?)....that was equally as sad.
I usually tip $1/drink in general. When eating at Diamond lounge, although rare, I'd tip $2-3.
#fight for 15 so i can get more automated service machines
it's great to go to a grocery store nowadays, no need to deal with cashiers and their jibber jabber
hopefully mcdonald's does this soon, with customizable options for my burger.
Not sure. I've only used the Rincon lounge in late 2016.Quote: RSSelf service soda at Rincon? Is this new?
Caesar's used to spend $2 million/yr on food in their seven stars lounge, but they might have cut back (Mirage closed their HL lounge in the past few years).Quote: RSCaesars (as of a few weeks ago at least) still has the pitiful seven stars lounge, if you can even call it that. 24 hrs: They used to have congee with a few condiments (Asian breakfast food), teas, litchi gummies, (maybe pretzels)
Some day time off-hours: Sandwiches (sliced into very small pieces), fruit
Meal times: 2-4 entrees (decent).
----
Last time I checked (April 2016), there were maybe five 24-hr Elite lounges left in Vegas (Caesar's, Bellagio, maybe MGM, Venetian, maybe Wynn).
So the solution to the DL being too popular??
Effective January 9, 2017, the Diamond Lounge will be open Friday through Sunday* every week.
Friday: 3pm-11pm
Saturday: 12pm-11pm
Sunday: 12pm-8pm
*The Diamond Lounge will also be open on select holidays and any mid-week show nights between 3pm-9pm. Please continue to enjoy the Market Buffet, Artist Cafe, Legends, Pronto Cafe and Johnny Rockets - all open 7 days
Quote: coilmanDiamond Lounge at Caesars in WINDSOR proved to be too popular ...thus cutting sales at the pitiful market square buffet (food sucks) and other dining choices in the casino. DL would be lined up on the better food nights while the buffet just outside had NOBODY in line to dine there.

It was bad enough at Windsor that you needed 25,000 points just to get into the diamond lounge for free. Now this. Really no reason to get diamond in 2017.
Food 4-7 pm - Prime Rib & Fingerling potatoes for next few days
Beer, wine, well spirits free
Top-shelf/Name-brand liquor cost money.
Flamingo Diamond club also had Prime Rib & Fingerling potatoes today.

I wonder if charging for Premium is going to be a new CZR Thing? They never think these things out, only do them.
Back in 2010, Caesar's charged for drinks over $35, but cheaper drinks were comped without charging your account. For Bellagio, $25 was the limit on no-charge comps.Quote: BozI wonder if charging for Premium is going to be a new CZR Thing? They never think these things out, only do them.
Beef short ribs, dimsum, raw oysters, big cocktail shrimp, sushi rolls
Tomorrow maybe salmon & rice.
NO lines at LINQ (unlike Flamingo with 15 min wait)

April 2016 they still had lots of food. One of the servers said they cutback the food in May (or early summer).
He said spending had risen to $3 million/yr.
LINQ 3535 is an open-air bar area in the middle of the casino. It's not enclosed like most Diamond Clubs.Quote: BozWhat was this space [LINQ] previously used as? Your postings are the first I have heard about it.
The food might only be for this period before New Years. Not sure.
Since there was a 15 min wait at the Flamingo Diamond Club a few days ago, one lady staffer told everyone in line about the LINQ 3535 club (said they were serving the same food, might only be 4-6 pm. I was told 4-7 pm, but no food today at 6:35 pm).
P.S. Heard today Aria might have a 7 stars club.
Quote: RSSelf service soda at Rincon? Is this new?
The DL in Rincon has had the self-service soda fountain to the right of the entrance, next to the popcorn machine since at least 2014, when I got Diamond.
Incidentally, Pala has removed all their self-service a few months ago, and Pauma had a big maintenance sign on their machine a few weeks ago. Going to check back if it's removed next time...
its not even a decent perk. non of this stuff is ever any good.
even in the platinum lounge at the Venetian the food is marginal at best
the borgata titanium lounge is nice but I would take a restaurant over a lounge any day of the week.
