Or is it not worth it to play... I'm definitely not crazy getting top multipliers for just 4OAK and Straight Flush.
Not that terrible, but tons of variance. Have a bankroll handy. I don't know the strategy and use the basic deuces wild strategy. However, there must be variations that I think would be worthwhile. These are just intuitive and have no idea how much they "cost me".
(1) 4 to a flush vs 4 to a straight - keep 4 to a flush as the multiplier for the flush is 5x vs 3x for a straight.
(2) if FH pays 4:1, you still keep a pair over two pair unless the multipliers override that.
(3) bigger multipliers mean you go for more riskier hands.
(4) I think you would keep more 3 to a SF due to the 12x multiplier on the following hands.
Once again, there is a ton of variance. At 5 play, you will easily go down alot before you hit a decent hand with a multiplier.
Play the game at VP.com (the weekly contest is ultimate) and you can practice.
If you currently have no multipliers activated and get a flush but are just one card off from a straight flush, just keep the flush because next hand you’ll get all 4X rows. At best, if you risk it, you may get one 12X row with a straight flush. Maybe not.
If you get two pair, keep both and maybe you’ll get a full house, which will activate 5X.
A lot depends on which multipliers you have activated. If you Have a 12X activated and draw a straight that’s one card off from a straight flush, you may want to dump that odd card and go for a straight flush.
Royal flushes with deuce and five of a kind are nice if you already have a multiplier active. Otherwise, they just give you a 2X, so take that into consideration.

All Ulyimate X games have very difficult strategies. Make sure you account for the various paytables. The strategy on the deuces game you are playing may be different than the one right next to it.
If the goal is to play for a very long time and constantly hit multipliers, deuces seems more consistent for that than job / other vp.
Quote: ChallengedMillyDrich have you ever AP a deuces ultimate x game in your time at the casino?
Yes, but I admit that I don't know the proper strategies for each hand and multiplier combinations. My play is limited to one hand to wipe off the multipliers that were left on it.
Quote: wrxrobI didn't see a strategy on the wizard's site for Deuces Wild Ultimate X. Hoping we soon can see a strategy for this game, or does it not vary from the standard?

I just came across an older thread in which Tringlomane provides some answers…
