AP'ed some games, then played heads-up. Lost -$9.
Quote: mamatI played this Tue 7/18 in a live casino (.05, .10). It was a lot of fun!

how many combined multipliers make this +ev?
anyway, saw one at .05 denom with a combined 8x, popped in a $20 (smallest bill I had a the time) to play it off.
got a dealt 3oak but didn't improve.
since it's only .05 denom, I decided to keep playing it till I get no multipliers.
well, I never got less than 6x combined for any spin but lost the $20 in less than 5 min :(
Quote: TomGBeen playing it every week at a couple casinos. One place is giving me $20 per week, 90 quarters is $22.50, so I play whatever game has enough multipliers to make it worth while, then usually get more multipliers, so can keep playing enough for them to keep giving me more free play every week, That's the real value with these games. Finding multipliers on regular Ultimate X gives you a huge edge, but very little action. Multipliers on UX Spin and Bonus Streak usually have no edge, and when they do it's very small. But you can get a lot of action from them.
so I guess I must have been really unlucky when it ate $20 at .05 denom in 5 min?
(and that includes getting dealt 3oak with multipliers on my 1st spin)
Quote: IbeatyouracesI'm probably wrong, but on this game, if the sum of the multipliers is 19x or higher, I'd think it would be a play. 18x or less, pass.
Right, but 19X is pretty marginal on a crappy paytable. A few percent at best.

Still no wiz page for this game :(
Anyone else have a related thought?
single line ult x?Quote: GaryJKoehlerI haven't given this much thought, but it seems to me that this would have the same expected value as the single-line UX game with the same payouts and multipliers, like Spin Poker does with its underlying game. The variance would be different as in regular Spin Poker.
Anyone else have a related thought?
I thought play would be more comparable to 10 line ult x?
And I was more looking for the returns of the various games.

I assumed it would be like a 9 line UX game with the multipliers in terms of return, you have to make the play based the avg multiplier for the 9 lines, no?
I’m pretty sure both would have the same expected value (9 times the single-line version).
Whether one “make(s) the play based the avg multiplier for the 9 lines” seems reasonable but I’d have to think more on this.
