Had to make it match my real one from earlier :-D
This Dealt Royal is kinda special since the Deal Draw Button was Busted and I was pushing the Draw Button on the Screen instead. I wasn't sure how long I would keep doing it before I moved but I got this and moved later since I was in 24hr Jail after making this dealt royal about 30mins into the session. I missed the 3k bonus but It wasn't for lack of trying lol!!

You aren't. I hated $1200 exact wins!

Yes, you are. Everybody here reports all of their wins not just the ones that are submitted to the IRS. :)
And that is official, officially official ;-)Quote: DRichYes, you are. Everybody here reports all of their wins not just the ones that are submitted to the IRS. :)
Of course I do as well... I was more referring to the machine locking up and stopping you from playing... GOTTA KEEP PLAYING!Quote: DRichYes, you are. Everybody here reports all of their wins not just the ones that are submitted to the IRS. :)

You mean $57 LESS as it rounds up the win to the next dollar

Let me get this straight? I am supposed to send someone money if I win? I think I am exempt!! I think anyone who is 200 X or more below the poverty level is allowed to get 194.00 in food a month and some free medical in Nevada. Yes I remember them telling me that since I am homeless and a No File that I am exempt of any type of Tax on any type of winnings! The only thing I am required to do is to come into the office once every 6 months to sign a few papers.
It appears the machine posted either rounds up to the nearest $0.50 or $0.25 figure, since it shows 5022 credits ($1,255.50). If it was at $1,199.27, I'm confident it'd pay $1,150.50 and not trigger a taxable. If the machine locked up (since some casino lock up with a $500 hit, $1k hit, etc., regardless of taxable)....I'd suppose there's a chance the casino would pay you $1,200 [handpay] without triggering a W2G.

Nothing stopping you from moving to the next machine and firing away! I usually do this if the machine is full pay as well !!
Quote: RSSome machines round up misc cents to the next dollar, while others pay you the true amount and don't round. For the second case, some machines will show something like $1,255.27 on screen and casino will pay $1,255.27 and others $1,256. But I'd have to think, if the progressive was at $1,199.29 or something, hit a royal (and if the machine was a round-up type), it'd either pay you $1,200 w/o triggering a taxable...or if it did trigger a taxable, you'd be able to get out of it and request $1,199.29 and not get a W2G.

I've had this go good and bad in all sorts of spots. I hit one for 1199.78 once on a Blazing Sevens and I got them to not give me papers but it seems that it depends on what Property your in and what rules they have. Fremont pays me to the Penny almost every time unless one of the techs sends it when they are on a shift change and they seem to round up. However it does not matter to me. Round up or Not... as long as they pay me what the Jackpot Reads I am happy!
,Quote: oldbudmanI hesitate to follow this post, but as casual video poker players (5-6 trips a year to Vegas) I thought I'd honor my wife's insane luck. Back in March she was dealt a Royal Flush (Clubs--8/5 BP) at MSS (actually tried to no avail to post pictures). I told her at the time a dealt Royal was a "once in a lifetime event". This past Friday she was dealt another Royal (clubs again--8/5 BP) at The "D". This time I was sitting right next to her when it happened. This was our second trip back since the March Royal so conservatively maybe 20,000 hands later. So her last 2 Royals were "dealt" to her. Since the odds of a dealt royal is something like 650,000 to 1, having 2 dealt in say 20,000 hands must be some astronomical number. Just a little side humor, the last time I told her about a "once in a lifetime event" was when she won a salt water fishing tournament with a 28+ inch Speckled Trout at the Texas coast. At least to date my prediction on the fish has stood up. Probably would not bet against her though.
Surprisingly, only about 32 to 1
Quote: DRich,
Surprisingly, only about 32 to 1
Just to be clear, that's the odds of getting the 2nd dealt royal within 20k hands after you KNOW you got the first one.
The odds of 2 or more dealt royals in any given 20,000 hand sample is about 2154 to 1.
Not that this story matters but to the players out there who believe in timing or whatever it might. I was supposed to go to a 7 pm movie but on my way I realized my tickets weren't valid for that show so I would have to go to the 8 pm Movie instead. Go figure, my Tickets weren't good for that show either. I got the 9:35 PM showing instead. I had almost 2 hours to kill. I decided to go pick up some free play and play a little at this place. I was actually up 1650 on this machine including the free play and was about to leave since it was getting close to Movie Time. As usual I pushed pretty hard and got the Machine to Zero and added 400 more. I had about a 20 min window. A few hands later this popped up kinda shocking me a bit since my eyes caught the white holds along with the cards. 4th Royal on this game. I've only made 2 Joker Royals and 6 Str8 Flushes and 1 5 OaK. Fun run on about 40k hands or so. It would be nice if I ran this good on all games.
On a side note I went to see Blade Runner 2049 or Blade Runner Part 2. The person I took with me was yawning the whole time and I threw them out giving them beer money and meeting up with them an hour or so later. I, myself, loved the movie. I loved the music! I loved the Cinematography. I loved that most of the time it was either Overcast, Nightfall, Raining, Snowing or even Nuclear Desert Vegas. I loved the slow pace of the movie and how it was really simple IMO. I loved those Cell, Cell, Cell... Interlinked, Interlinked scenes! That Ocean Scene at the End with the Music and Imagery... Emotionally Orgasmic IMHO!! Movies haven't been very good for years but I really enjoyed the experience of this movie and I also really enjoyed Dunkirk as well. These are two movies that are must sees in the Theater IMHO. I was really happy with Blade Runner 2049. I felt like they finally got something right and it is pretty amazing that they could line up a sequel 30 years later. From what I understand is that the people involved are Blade Runner Fanatics and they worked hard to make the story/movie true to the original or at least to the spirit of the original which I have a few DVD versions of as well.
The younger generation did not agree and I seen many of them walk out of this movie early or take many bathroom breaks. Most of them at the end of the movie were not impressed or liked it. I disagreed with them and realized the movie didn't have enough Explosions for them. I think it will be like the original. People won't like it at first and years later it will catch on with them.
Sorry about the Glare in the Picture.
Quote: RomesGreat hit monet! I've had my share of royals, but never a dealt one... still waiting for that day. I've been fortunate enough that every time I've hit a royal it's been usually on a higher (for me) denom VP machine ($1, $2). The smallest I've ever hit is on .25. Hopefully one day I'll find that magical unicorn of a dealt royal on a $5 or higher game such as yourself =).
Your Part time. I am Full Time. You make more money per year doing Part Time. I make all the hands that are possible over time. I'd rather be in your shoes making more money. The hands are fun and look good but at the end of the year I am left in the dust compared to your Full Time Job and Part Time Gaming Ventures. I wouldn't doubt that you make more just in the Part Time Gaming Ventures compared to me playing Full Time which is depressing when I think about it :)
if I was going for dealt Royals, I'll be playing either dstp (20x dealt royal) or double pay (15x dealt royal).
of course, based on how little VP I play per year (~50k hands/yr), odds are low that i'll get one in my lifetime

I do think about this too, but in the end I'm just happy to win a Royal!

Quote: monet0412It seems my last one of these was around June 2016. That one was in Clubs as well but for $1255. This one is worth more but I was the only one in the Casino winning around 25k crying that I didn't make this the last 6 months playing 10 or 25 dollar single line games or even the 100 play quarter machines I have been playing pretty hard in the last year. One of these days... Pow !! Right in the Kisser !!

Quote: MaxPenDealt royals come in sets. Right?
Axel has a bounty for a natural five of a kind (excluding Five Aces Poker). Maybe someone should have a bounty for drawing all four different royals at once after throwing the initial hand away. Obviously, this would have to be on a 5 play/line or high type machine.
Now the big question, which is rarer. Drawing all four different royals at once or 18 yos in a row?!?!?
Just so eveyone understands I no longer offer that bounty to anyone I don't work with. I just don't want to deal with scammy sh*t. I think it's fair to say the odds of it happening are higher than 18 yo's in a row, although I'm sure it's happened to Alan a few times. My entire point was I got sick of hearing all the experts and uptight people advising people to hold all 5 cards when dealt a 4 of a kind. I was sick of hearing people claim it happens all the time.Quote: IbeatyouracesAxel has a bounty for a natural five of a kind (excluding Five Aces Poker).
