That 30.8 figure seems to high that`s almost once every 3 hands for a redraw.Tringlomane,JB anyone?

The 30.8 is not percent. It's 30.8 deals.

He's saying that you throw away 1 in every 30.8 hands. I think this seems accurate.

I think its obvious to everyone that the cycle in order to get a redraw royal is much harder to get then a dealt one however i don't think that's the question he is asking.

the only question should be, how many hands on average dose it take to get a RF, after you toss out 5 non RF cards.

No thats once out of every 30.8 hands not 3. He didn't right it as a percent he wrote it as a frequency. Its roughly 3% slightly more but meh.

For those of you who do not have any video poker software you can go to wolfvideopoker.com and download Frugal Video Poker FOR FREE. It only takes a few seconds. Jim Wolf designed FVP. Several years later he designed a more updated version called Wolf Video Poker. WVP has a few more advanced functions than FVP. But FVP will work just fine for you in most situations.

For the 30.8 figure I went to 9/6 Jacks, clicked on "Strategies/Games" then clicked on "Show strategy chart." Then I clicked on "Add Statistics." I put a checkmark in the boxes beside "cycle" and "appeared." These statistics show up right beside the hand in the strategy chart. The "appeared" column shows that there are 84,360 combinations out of 2,598,960 that make a "draw five" hand. The "cycle" column shows that you will be dealt a "draw five" hand every 30.8 games. This is a rounded off number.

If you divide 2,598,960 combinations by 84,360 combinations it works out to 30.807965.

Yes thank you for payment on the bet. I don't often check that PO box so I just checked it today. FYI IT came with with some official looking DAMAGED PACKAGE stamp and sticker on it. At first I thought, I had something like a box damaged. It was partly opened. looks like someone tried to steal the cash, but realized it was not worth their JOB for that amount of money. Its almost as if they can tell what money looks like when its sent in the mail.

So I'm curious. Did any of you guys download Frugal Video Poker?

I answered that question back in this post.
