my local casino has an off this month for a possible $5000 free slot play, if one were to receive that, what would be the best way to maximize returns? this is in the vp section because I assume this would be optimal way to spend this credit, just wondering what game would be the best for it. also i think the promotion is misleading in that i think it is a possible 5000 based on 4 days if one were to correctly guess the right pick and win 1250 a night respectively, if this is the case would that change ones choice of game and strategy?

The information is mostly accurate in LasVegas but not so accurate in other places like California. Always double check the pay table.

I prefer low variance on free play which kind of hurt me today. I hit a 25c free play royal.

I don't know about vpfree2, but I compare the casino machines' pay tables with the return tables from Wizard of Odds to find the best machines.

VPFree2 return percentages are generally okay for standard for normal video poker, but they don't add the value of "gimmick games".

For example, the best game at Gold Coast listed on VPFree2, looks to be 99.81% Double Bonus Deuces Wild. But Gold Coast also offers "Not So Ugly Ducks" with Multistrike, which is 99.92% when playing all four levels with optimal multi-strike strategy. They also offer my favorite game, 9/6 JoB w/Super Times Pay, which pays 99.82% when adding in the STP bet and strategy is exactly the same as standard 9/6 JoB.

And far as how accurate the database is...it's hit or miss. Many VPFree2 scouts just look for Bonus Poker or JoB and ignore the less common games. Also if the casino is over 1 year from being updated, then it's also a bit questionable if those games will still be there. Considering your previous posts, VPFree is pretty up to date in your area. I have updated in the metro area I think you might be in based on your Big Split Royals. Other casinos there are also updated well by another VPFree2 monitor. Only 2 casinos in that area haven't been recently updated I think.

Also if this is on an electronic kiosk, don't assume each pick is equally likely.

it is a promotional kiosk and I don't assume anything, if anything I would lean towards it being a less likely outcome but if it happens it would be good to know the best way to make the greatest return on it
