Since I live in south Texas, brick and mortar casino gambling is not available without a commute to Louisiana. In the meantime I enjoy playing poker and video poker. So I was methodically clearing a bonus on Bovada playing single hand Jacks or Better (using Wizards Optimal Strategy of course) and I hit my first VP royal flush ever!

I was happy with the bonus from Bovada turning VP into a +EV playing situation but the extra money from the royal flush is certainly the icing on the cake.

Thanks Wizard

Congratulations on the Royal!

Just further proof that there are many on-line casinos out there, and there is probably more than one trustworthy one, but if you don't want who you're gambling with to be a gamble in and of itself, "Raise your game," with Bovada.

Poker games are pretty beatable but not much volume outside of NLHE.

The casino and poker portion operate separately from each other. I have a bonus I am clearing from playing poker and then working through a completely separate bonus for the casino portion.

Thanks so much, it certainly caught me by surprise considering that I drew three cards to hit the royal.

I was fortunate to hit another royal today while playing Joker Poker, now only if I could hit a sequential royal, but that might not be in this lifetime.

Both royals were quarters. Playing small denomination as I clear bonuses. So far I've had a good experience with Bovada. I've made withdrawals and they've been paid it so I'm pretty happy overall. My only request would be to expand the selection of games on the instant casino to match the download casino.

Quarter credits or a quarter a pull?

I wouldn't mind the fact that most games aren't available in browser except that the downloadable casino screws up my computer for some reason. Are you getting that?

It's weird - I'm getting to the point where five-of-a-kinds barely even register, but still not even a wild royal. Just how it's gone, I guess.

Quarter credits so $1.25 a pull. The downloadable casino runs relatively smooth for me for the most part. It does occasionally slow down when I play any 100 hand video poker.

Welp, just hit mine. 25¢ credits as well. The sad part is it didn't register in my head until I'd already hit "bet max" to start a new hand, damn. Glad they don't blow up the "double" prompt like some people do, or I might have tried to double by mistake. Hit my first one with a joker I think last Saturday.

EDIT (9/26): And my second, this time at 50¢ credits. Undid a big chunk of the damage of my blackjack spree.
