9/6 Jacks or better full pay

Hand Ad Kh 3s 4s 6s

videopokertrainer says that holding the 3s 4s 6s returns 2.669 while holding the Ad Kh return 2.391

By looking at widardofodds.com - I would think holding Ad Kh is better because the 3s 4s 6s is a "type-3" straight flush draw. Can someone set me straight? Many thanks!

Straight Flush draw (type 1): Straight flush draw in which the number of high cards equals or exceeds number of gaps.

Straight Flush draw (type 2): Straight flush draw in which the number of gaps, less the number of high cards, equals 1. Also, any Ace-low straight flush draw or 2-3-4 suited.

Straight Flush draw (type 3): Straight flush draw with two gaps and no high cards.

I *think* the only plays worse than keeping the AK are:

KT suited
J
Q
K
A
3 to a straight flush with 2 holes and no high cards
discard

So "Straight Flush draw (type 3): Straight flush draw with two gaps and no high cards" means no high cards in the entire 5-card first draw?

I guess I was thinking it meant the 3-card straight flush draw had no high cards.

Also, 346 suited is a type 2 by that classification.

gaps - high cards = 1

1 gap - 0 high cards = 1

All those descriptions for any video poker strategy will only pertain the cards you are keeping so you are correct in thinking it only refers to the 3 card straight. You've just incorrectly identified the type is all.

Just my best quess would be that holding the AK would be the slightly better play because the straight flush is NOT 3 connecting cards
