free roundtrip airfare and RFB. a roundtrip takes about a 30-hour period for me.
$2,000 free play
No requirement of play. I am on the "honor" system to give them action. Previously, I have given them $100,000 of action on 9/6 JoB per trip. I suspect if I continue playing at this level, I can still get another trip in the future. I think I am losing about $1000 in play. $500 of it in theoretical loss, another $500 for imperfect play. I'm trying to be conservative in estimating my playing error rate. I have lost in the past, perhaps they are looking at my losses and thinking I am a horrific player. If I get better results in the future, they may not offer future deals.
I think I make $1,000 per trip, on average.
Are deals like this common? Do I have something that lots of people want? If I hit a Royal one time, should I expect no future offers?
Or, if you are giving up a fun vacation to do this instead, I'm not sure you are actually making anything. Any vacation day technically costs you money. You do need to relax and take time off, but would this seem like work?
I do enjoy making money off of fun activities like gambling. I'm mostly wondering if I have something special on my hands or if it is ordinary stuff that any one can get.

I've never received an offer that good. $2000 in free play is worth about $500,000 in handle on 9/6 JOB. You could play it through once and relax for the weekend without gambling more. You'd probably make about $1900, but you'd probably also not receive the offer again. Or you could let that $2,000 be your bankroll for the weekend. Once you played it through and had the $1900 cash, you could probably last the weekend on that $$ unless you had some really terrible variance to deal with. They'd also count that additional play as though it was with your money and not theirs, which might make them repeat the offer.
How good is the food? Do you like staying in hotels? How do you feel about flying?

This is a good deal but a 30 hour round trip is your decision.
At your level of "action" RFB should be expected. The airfare and the "on your honor to play at past levels" are very generous provisions. Most places would be explicit about requiring you to play at your historical levels.
As long as the travel is not an ordeal for you, take it, they are being quite generous with that 'no requirement' and full air fare.
I don't mind staying in hotels, it is the only time I get to work out.
I don't mind traveling. I like getting additional points on my frequent flyers account for free.
Maybe I am a terrible player or had terrible variance. At 5-coin $5 9/6 JoB, $2000 goes really quick.

Or, stated differently: "I'm gambling away my children's inheritance."

Or, viewed differently: "Im gambling away my hard earned cash, and my children will get nothing because they are jerks!" :)
Inheritance is not an entitlement.
Part of being a good parent is providing for your children.
Of course, if you feel your children are "jerks," well: Reality Dysfunction.

Extremely, and even more so during the last two years, in my experience.

I ignore the majority of the free airfare offers that I get. If I'm planning a trip anyway I'll jump on it, but otherwise it's just a nice thing to get in the mail. Lets me know the hosts are thinking of me, lol.

Quite to the contrary. If you win big, they'll be even more interested in flying you back there so that you can lose it back to them.

So I'm sitting pretty, right? Win or lose, you think I'll continue to get good offers. Sounds like all I needed to do was find myself in this position to begin with :)
I don't know how I got in this spot, how do most people get here?

By being successful in some realm of life other than casino gambling, such that they have such large sums of money available to wager on negative EV games of chance!
Assuming you're not an advantage player. If you are, props to you on playing with a card and getting these comps. That's some Ian Andersen shit right there (assuming the things he said in his book actually happened).
