You know the saying - a few grand here, a few grand there, and pretty soon it adds up to real money.
As for me, I just bet $45,000...that the stock market won't crash and burn and take my mutual funds with it. (The only other time I toss cash around like Ace is when I buy a new car - ever since I got burned for 19%/year interest for three years on financing, I made it a point to switch to the "one easy payment" plan.)

I put some money in Vanguard last year. Pretty conservative plan.

Vanguard is a great place to invest as their management fees are much lower than Fidelity and other Mutual Fund mangers.
As for Ace, I want to see the "Comeback Kid" keep winning.

I think the only ones ahead using SC are Frank and the casinos.
Your trip report got entangled somewhat with other nonsense from a couple of nonsensical posters. Several actually, but I will stay with "a couple of". Win or lose, I suspect you will return to play again. I hope you post the results the same way again next trip. Have to admit though, it wasn't as much fun reading as your previous trip reports. Perhaps the first few were 'novel' and the novelty has lost some of it's shine.... It's hard to be novel, and mostly normal, and real (!) for long periods of time. Take a minute, just 60 seconds or so, and close your eyes, and take a deep breath ;-) then quickly look around to make sure no one is sneaking up behind you......

Got 1k back dealer changed and I lost ten hands in a row
Started shoe with 3 Blackjacks in a row and I was too scared to press so finally in the 4th hand I press to 300, get a 5,6 double and draw a 6 for 17
Dealer has a 7 showing and Ace underneath
Guy just refused to hit 12 v 3 of course dealer wins hand and would've busted if he hits
Ended up with a nice run got 1k

You have apparently run out of time to turn around your current trip, that's OK. Lots of time left in 2015. I hope you really are "real". I only say that because I didn't hear anything about anyone noting any comm from you as to why you didn't join the WoV get together other than your cousin's flight was late. Really? You seem to post every shoe or two about your status/events/etc, but couldn't/didn't take a very small moment to tell the whole darned world why you wouldn't be able to make it?

Anonymous by choice. Ace has chosen to identify himself many times on this forum as have several other members. There's not much about him that we don't know. Not my place to tell though.
