Short trip report. And I do mean short trip. Took longer driving there and back than gambling. Had to rescue Granddaughter in Denver. Stayed overnight ( free room ) at Isle in Blackhawk. From 6-8 gambled at Isle, not that busy for Friday night. Table games had open seats in main area, no action in annex. Roulette table empty, 1 BJ open, 7 other tables not open. Then went to Z's, used to be Bullwhackers. Penn National bought about 15 years ago.

Penn also bought Silver Hawk on back lot and bought out adjacent Bronco Billy's. Typical RACINO management, threw out all table games, including busiest poker room in Blackhawk. Silver Hawk closed, Bronco Billy's space now leased to Sasquash. Johhny Z from Central City bought cheap from Penn National. Table games in basement, 4 tables 3 players, not many slot players, Had $7.77 ribs and Josie had $7.77 Prime Rib dinner. Both were nice, 3 rd floor, window booth.

Interested to see what SARATOGA RACINO would do to Fitzgeralds. Was there a year ago, floor was tore up, new carpet being laid. machines stacked in loft where Bj tables used to be. Had 6 pods of SHFL i games where party pit used to be, half working at best. Then
I was back 6 months later. SHFL pods gone. BJ tables on main floor in middle of slot area. One 3/2 and 5 6/5 UGH !

Seemed to be fairly busy, about ISLE level as I walked thru slots, now in what was party pit, the SHFL pods, and is now slots. Slots back in slot area where BJ tables had been on last visit.. Started to wonder, but had read in local rag that Saratogo had War Blackjack. Walked thru slots and lo and behold, up on loft area were table games. Walking up steps saw War signage and busy table. Whole area was crowded. Oval shaped set up. To left of War was BJ/ LUCKY LUCKY side bet , then Buffalo Bonus BJ, then Buffalo Bonus BJ, another Buffalo Bonus BJ, then Roulette, then an end cap CRAPS, then 3 card poker. And if there was an empty seat , I never saw it.

3/2 BJ, H17 and signage on tables Bust Bonus or Magic 21 ( Buffalo Bonus ) and also Lucky Lucky $1 min, $25 max.
War Blackjack side bet $5 min $50 max. Everything was also 6 deck shoe. So why was the joint jumping, you might ask ?

I have seen Slots a lot busier when it was Fitzgeralds, but not the table games. Even on a summer time Friday night before Ameristar.

Gee, could it have been the $5 minimum bet on the BJ tables ? I wonder.

Winner at Raving gets placement in Saratoga. Looks like you will get a fair trial for sure.

Stephen , I was amazed a racino actually embraced and promoted table games. Josie looking forward to see chip tricks at G2E. She thinks Utube might be trick photography LOL

Lucky Lucky is a side bet by two young guys in Wheatridge, Colorado. Funny thing is the address on 44th street is same address that got busted a few years back for running a social cash poker game. Just a co-incidence, I am sure. LOL

Now for the good news.

This is pretty old news. They have the side bet at a local casino but the max is $25, or $50 in the high limit room. Not really worth my time; I can make more in the main game and I'm not good enough to keep two totally different counts at the same time.

This is the problem with blackjack side bets. A lot of them are beatable with very large edges, but large edges aren't worth much when you are limited to betting a green chip. This is about as good as a play as playing FPDW for quarters. Have at it; if you don't make any mistakes you will make almost as much as the casino employees.
