I'd refer you to the Standings in the WoV Picks Game, with which you should be familiar.
YOU are asking US!?

Take this welcoming bet: Oakland -1.
Philly: No QB, running back is hurt. Last 2 games scored combined 10 points.Easy money
Let us know whether you took my suggestion.
I want a free buffet from you as my encouragement.
Quote: strictlyAPSpeedy are you in Vegas? I think it's a one o'clock game won't make it in the air as we speak? But if you are on the strip. The Buffett is on me
Oakland is on the west coast, which is why Phila @ Oakland is a 4 pm (east coast), 1pm Vegas game. Lol.
Although I personally am going the other way. Eagles to win outright, @+125, is one of my two picks for the day, the other being Saints -5 1/2. In full disclosure, I am a former Philadelphia area resident and former Eagles season ticket holder. :-)

I'm with KewlJ on this one, the Raiders still absolutely suck!!! Eagles +2.5 is one of my Picks this week, of course, if I were playing for actual money, the only thing I'd be good at picking this year is tissues out of the Kleenex box. In any event, if that line were a PK, I'd probably still have the Eagles PK as one of my picks this week. I simply cannot think of any reason why the Raiders should beat them, or anyone else, for that matter.

So you love your Philly.
SIGH!!!!!!!!!
KEWLJ: A small piece of advice to you. Separate love and gambling. I will take Oakland -1. Just as a bet with LarryS. One dollar ($1).
We settle when we meet. One day in Vegas. I have a plan to move to Vegas one day say in 1-2 years and stay for 1-2 years.
If you take my bet, i will open a file for you.
I am serious about my $1.

I do love and miss my philly sports teams. One of the few things that I dislike about living in Vegas is no profession sports teams. I mean 'real' professional, one of the 4 major sports type team. Not talking about minor league baseball or hockey or the woman's lingerie football league. Lol.
The closest we have to a professional sports team is UNLV basketball. Lol. I hear that used to be a real high paid team back in the Jerry Tarktanian era. :-)
A little sports betting is my entertainment. It is the only negative EV wagering that I do, although even that, my sports bets are rated which gets me a little bit of benefit as far as having 'other' action on my card. May buy me just a little extra longevity in my blackjack wagering. (There are differing opinions on this). Anyway, I do seperate my love and support of a team from wagering. If I like my home team in the game I will wager on it. If I don't like them, I will watch and just root for them. I rarely wager against them, just opting to watch and root, although two weeks ago, I wagered heavily in Dallas over the Eagles. The Eagles were home and favored and it was just so apparent to me that Dallas was a much better team than the Eagles. I wagered big and won, but really didn't enjoy it very much.
And here's a little promo tip for you Vegas sports bettors. Buy a parlay ticket at Gold coast and you get $20 in free play. You can even hedge your wager by betting against first the first part of parley and if necessary the second part, assuming the two parts don't play at the same time. This will assure you almost break even on the wagers and the $20 free play is +EV. :-)
Quote: strictlyAPAbout to. Land and rush to sports bout. Goal for trip is plus 20k or bust
So let me get this straight...15K bankroll...goal for the trip is +20K or go bust trying...how long is your trip? And your first 2 bets are hastily-considered $500 sports wagers that you've crowd-sourced on this forum? I mean we have smart people here, but if there any AP sports bettors, I think they're keeping their best picks to themselves :).
The irony of this screen name gets better and better....
I am pissed that I played Matt Ryan instead of Foles. FML
Quote: strictlyAPOk first two bets. 500 eagles for the game money line. And 500 patriots first half minus 3.5
Looks like Philly was the way to go. What a blowout!
But I save $1 though.
Quote: KeyserSozeWTFoles?
Lol!! Nick Foles. Sitting right there next to Peyton Manning in the record book. He has done something (7 TD passes in a game) that Tom Brady, Joe Montana and Brett Farve never did. Good for you, Nick Foles.

I just watched the 30-minute fast replay of the game on DirecTV. I'm trying to figure out if this was a fluke performance by Foles or if this is the start of better things for the Eagles?
I know you are a Philly fan, but I'm sure you remain objective when betting, so what do you think? Are the Eagles a buy, sell, or hold?
Oakland was always a strong matchup for the Eagles. As long as Jackson, McCoy, Celek and Cooper were playing the Eagles offense would be too strong for Oakland defense, with either Foles or Vick playing qb, while Oakland's offense isn't strong enough to take advantage of the Eagles really weak defense. So I'm with Mission, it was just a lopsided win over a weak team that they happened to match up well against.
And that is too take nothing away from Nick Foles. He did something only a few qb's have done in the long history of the NFL and he had accomplished it before the end of the third quarter. I hope he continues to progress.
And now enough about the Eagles. Let's hear how strictlyAP, is going to take his roughly $1100 win from those two games and reach his goal of a $20 grand win for the trip. :-)
Quote: EdgeLookerParlay some of those winnings on Foles against GB next week. :)
Good choice
OP promises play by play and all we get is 1 winning bet in 3 days. uggg
Trying to decide between the money or the hammer.
