Someone in a discord server I’m in posted this photo from a cruise. I noticed a side bet I had never seen before and quickly calculated that the house edge would be 10.5263%, the same for quadruple zero roulette. This side bet pays 3to1 on eight numbers and 1to1 on a single number. Has anyone in this forum seen this side bet in real life?

The site might have compressed the image but basically some even and odd numbers have circles next to them to show they are part of Even+ or Odds+. Single 0 pays 1:1 for both bets.

Great. This picture is worth 3000 words. It must be at bay101 or M8trix.

Lol, nice try, but roulette is banned in cardrooms, and roulette with a ball is banned in all California casinos.
This is on a Carnival Cruise but I did not get more information from the guy who posted it.

It appears that the Even+ bet is for the eight red even numbers (and the zero that pays only 1-1), and the Odd+ bet is for the eight odd black numbers (and zero).
It seems to me that it would have the same house edge as pretty much any other bet if zero paid 3-1, as 9 numbers would pay +3 and the other 29 would pay -1.

0 only pays +1, not +3, for both Even+ and Odd+

It would be the same HE if either zero paid 1:1. Also, on a regular single zero table it would work by including 0 as a 3:1 winner.

I know. What I said was, if zero paid 3-1 instead of 1-1, then the bet would have the same HE as every other bet (except the 0/00/1/2/3 bet).
