Hello everyone!
Recently I added Boule and Big Six to my Table Games Academy website. Please let me know what you think of my super simplistic design of the "spinning wheel". Maybe I should I make it so that more than three numbers are shown at a time? Sometime (maybe late December or January) I will add Roulette, but I know it will be pretty challenging so I've been delaying it until I add Craps and Pai Gow Poker.
Anyways, I was wondering if there are any other traditional wheel games played in casinos other than the three I mentioned here; Big Six, Boule, and Roulette? I have looked on the Wizard of Odds site, without luck, and I find it hard to believe that nobody has even attempted to make another game, instead just opting for new roulette side bets.
To support the game inventor community, if anyone has a simple idea for a wheel game that's around as simple as Big Six or Boule, I can make you a demo for free, (it should take me three minutes). I extend the same offer regarding commission-free Baccarat and baccarat side bets.

Other wheel games? Look up Alphabet Roulette. It had 25 bets (I think Y & Z were combined rather than the obvious Q & U). I don't remember if it ever got past field trial. I seem to recall a problem when chance makes the history display a word that is better left not displayed. Oops.
But I recall in the discussion a tangent discussion about a different roulette variant that used animals.
Also look up Rainbow Roulette. That got a lot of discussion since the inventor was a member here. The side tangent I'm thinking of might be in one of their threads.
Note that in some jurisdictions, the Big 6 jackpots pay 40. Also, there are electronic versions that have no dealer, with payouts that aren't tied to currency values.

Regarding your question about the way you're showing the spinning wheel results, um, yeah, it needs work.
I would suggest at minimum, showing 7 results. I don't know how hard it is to do the kind of graphics that I'm gonna suggest, but have each of the 7 results look like a pie shape (or a partial pie shape) with a specific color for each value. Kinda like this:

It's OK if you don't totally animate the rotation. Just have the colors & numbers chase across the wheel. It's also OK that this wheel obviously doesn't have as many wedges as a real wheel, as long as the math is based on a real wheel. Then again, maybe have three versions of the image: One where the center number is upright as shown, one where all the numbers are partially rotated to the next position, etc. It would improve the animation look.
Hope these comments help!

Dear Dave,
Thanks for your thoughtful and helpful response.
After some thought, I guess the reason why not many wheel games have been developed is because they require a lot of manufacturing as well as testing for randomness, while card and dice games do not have this issue.
You are right that my design sucked, I have improved it (a little) and will probably keep working on it. How many seconds do you think the wheel should spin for?
In the future I will let people decide whether they want to play Big Six with the Atlantic City or Las Vegas wheel / pay table. My plan is for all of my games will have adjustable rules in the Rules section, which I'll probably implement after I finish Craps, Roulette, Sic Bo, and Pai Gow Poker.
By the way, I have a preview of Roulette on my website now. It should work but you can't place certain types of bets yet.
