How many hands (teoretically) is max. to play in 6 deck baccarat game with a rule that player must hit on 5?
Last 7 cards will be dealt, if black (cutting) card is first!
Best regards,
Berni
Note that the theoretical maximum is 77 - there are 312 cards in the shoe; 76 4-card hands leaves 8 cards in the shoe, and the next hand reduces it to 4 or fewer. However, that does not mean that a 77-hand shoe is possible; it just means that a 78-hand shoe is not.

Offhand I’m not sure it’s possible to have 76 hands where there’s never a drawn card.

I think there is.
Each rank has 24 cards in a 6-deck shoe.
In the first 24 hands, the player is dealt 4-5, for a natural 9 - no draw.
In the next 24, the player is dealt 3-6 - again, a natural 9, so no draw.
In the next 24, the player is dealt 2-7 - again, a natural 9, so no draw.
In the last five, the player is dealt 10-9.
77 hands, all of which have the player being dealt a 9, so there are 4 cards per hand.

Good call.
Think how much MDawg would win on that shoe!
