I don't like playing roulette (or any other wheel game for that matter). It's not about the house edge or how many zeros it has. Nor is about endless Martingale debates or a fear of ball steering. I simply find playing the game to be tedious and boring zzzzz.
And yet...
For some reason, in my mind, I find that roulette makes a casino feel "correct" and "legitimate". It must be a live game, none of this bubble machine or video screen stadium crap. A live wheel just gives off vibes of elegance and glamour (even above a posh baccarat room, and even if the players are dressed like slobs) that I seem to pick up on. Without a roulette table, to me, a "casino" is just a nightclub with a few gambling machines. When I walk by the table, even though I know I wont play, I have to pause and look at it. It's certainly a pretty game, a delight to the senses really what with its colorful layout, the gentle clatter of the ball and its stately, ever turning wheel sparkling in the casino lights. Yummy.
Okay, so I exaggerate a bit, but there's definitely some minor OCD going on inside me. And yet, recognizing this fact doesn't seem to change things. Given the choice between two otherwise equal casinos, I'd visit the one with the roulette table every time. Does anyone else here have an issue with a certain casino game, or am I waaay out in the weeds of weirdsville here?

I agree with most of what you've said.
Unfortunately these days roulette has turned into a carnival game that looks like a cheap hubcap with three zeros on it, thanks to LV. Consequently I refuse to step foot into a casino that has one of them.
