Was at the Del Lago Casino in New York last week and saw the 5 card hand bet with a different paytable then listed. The only difference was that instead of a pair of 6s paying 1 to 1, then pay table was now a pair of Jacks paying 1 to 1 and nothing for 10's or less.
Know that the 5 card bet isnt bad with the 6's paying (Around 3.8%), but would be curious to know how much worse the bet is now with the minimum hand being increased to jacks.
Unfortunately, this has been the trend with table games, even with good odds for the house, increasing the house edge. I pretty much quit playing 3 card poker when they lowered the flush to 3 to 1 and then added the 6 card bonus with its massive house edge.
