Cee-Lo, aka "4-5-6" seems to be a very popular home and street dice game. Why hasn't it found success as a casino game?

It's been tried a bunch of times. Nobody's ever gotten an install, to my knowledge. I think the issue is the demographic overlap between street dice players and casino gamblers isn't very large. Contrast that with Wheel of Fortune watchers and casino gamblers, for example.

A couple different versions have been in the Cutting Edge Table Games Competition. I'm not privy to the order of all finishers, but it's never made the top 3 and I'm never talked to anyone at the competition that thought it was a keeper.

Is there a generally agreed upon set of rules, procedures and payouts? Since it is a "home" game, I am sure there are many derivatives (like putting money in "Free Parking" when playing Monopoly).

Much like Cribbage, it would be instantly familiar to some, but everybody else wouldn't see the appeal, unless they learned to like it. It is very difficult for a game to make it that seems totally unfamiliar to the vast majority of the casino gambling demographic.
