Have made lots of money the past few years with this system.

Green Bay won last week as a 12 point favorite. 46-16 16+12 =28 Green Bay was 18 above the line.

Kansas City was a 10 point dog against the Jets and lost 37-10. 10+10=20 Kansas city was 17 below the line.

18 + 17 = 35 I love it when the number is 30 or more.

Added bonus is Kansas City goes home and Green Bay goes on the road.

But Green Bay is 13-0 and Kansas City just fired their coach !

I pretty much bet the underdog any NFL game where the spread is better than 12. Any given Sunday.......

That can be good, lots of times that wakes a team up. Or they were just fed up and want to help out the new blood. FWIW, I don't see Green Bay hitting 16-0.

KC, Chicago then Lions. The last two are at home, but against divisional rivals.

I don't so the Lions winning at Lambeau field, especially if it's a must win game. They've not got the discipline or desire right now to win it. The Pack will rest their starters after the first half in both those games... 14-2 is plenty good enough, but I suspect it'll get to 16-0.

The Lions game also has the added friction of the last game being so bad tempered....

GB will win Sunday.
.8 they finish 16-0
.45 they run the table and finish with a superbowl.
But then, I don't know squat 'bout football.

I'll be on KC money line, of course. +700 is easily available around Vegas. Given the 14-point spread, I put the fair line at +616.

Drinks are on me if the Chiefs win.

I actually believe KC +14 is a great play(I have already bet it) and the money line on the game is worth a shot also. Mike, I know you love playing dogs on the money line but do you ever play them getting points and do you ever play favorites?

Orton is starting and if healthy is far better than Palko. But GB just keeps beating the number. If they clinch everything this week by winning outright as they should (sorry Wizard), then the next 2 weeks will see a lot of starters not playing the entire game and will throw the lines into a guessing game.

No, I never bet against the spread, either way. I don't handicap, and I don't want to run all over town looking for an extra half point here and there, which I think you have to do to make money at it. There are other professional sports bettors who mainly bet against the spread, and I respect what they do. However, that just isn't my angle.

Thanks!

I see the line has really moved, to +10.5 now. I was too lazy to make it to the Strip for the good lines, including the one on KC. If they win I'm really going to by angry at myself.

Out of curiosity on that, if you are a local do you need to go to the strip for better lines or are locals joints a better way to bet sports?

Okay, I pinched my nose and put something on KC money line online. It pains me because can get a much better line at the Rampart, a short drive from here. However, I'm too lazy to get dressed and go out there in the rain.

The Strip is better. I figure because they get more square action, moving the lines in favor of the dogs. The locals are sharper bettors.

So both the 16-0 and the 0-16 have gone this weekend. Damn. Damn once, as Rogers is my fantasy QB and he had a poor game for him stats wise. Damn twice, as I wanted to have someone else join the Lions 0-16 club (but at least Dan-Orlovsky has his first career win... after being part of the 0-16 Lolions).

In order to not look like a genius, I took a private bet, straight up, at half time that Green Bay would still win, forgetting the spread.

Yup. I don't know whether to be happy for the win, or angry at myself for not driving five minutes for the better line. I'm not sure I even own an umbrella. There is not much call for them here in Vegas.

There should be. I know it rains only once every four thousand years or so, but umbrellas make good parasols as well.

Anyway, what the bleeping hell happened? I watched a bit of the Giants/Redskins game and then i went off to the office to catch up on some work. I come back and I find this.

The Chiefs? Seriously? And it's not even the 28th of December yet...

I didn't have one in Phoenix and would not if and when I get to LV. Though I will bring a brand new snowshovel.

I live on the rain coast and don't have a umbrella (though I regretted that last time I was in Vancouver... the rain there is like nothing else... once it starts, it really sticks around for days).

In Hong Kong and Shanghai, which can get very rainy, you seldom see umbrellas. I think they just accept the rain rather than try to hide from it. A good raincoat is enough to stay dry.

Green Bay 14, KC 19.

KC won with 4 field goals and a Jackie Battle touch down, and Green Bay had one Aaron Rogers passing TD and one running TD.
