Well, I see that six of us took Bears +6 vs Ravens
Why? Because it was subsequently confirmed that Lamar Jackson will not play for the Ravens and the line shifted to Bears +1.5. Since we are using the stale line of +6, by picking the Bears we are getting the key numbers of 3 and 4 plus a push on 6. All of that above and beyond what the books considered to be a fair spread of +1.5
So, we are brilliant, hey? And yet . . . I have a feeling that Murphy's Law will rule the day, and the Ravens will rally around their backup QB or something like that. And somehow the Ravens will cover and we'll all be ruing the variance in picking NFL games.
It will be fun to see what happens
I'd like to hear why JohnZimbo picked Ravens -6, and perhaps why others didn't pick this game at all.

I was picking the Bears regardless. Bears are hot and Ravens are worst in NFL ATS. Yes, in large part due to Jackson not playing, but I still thought the value was on the Bears.
It's not a sin if you don't win, but it's a tragedy if you don't try.

I thought about changing. But I stood with my ‘only take 1/2 point spreads so no pushes’ philosophy. When the line was 6 it was ‘hammerable’. Everything I read all week was Jackson would be held out one more game. I’m hoping the game ends up between the 6 and present 1.5. Books will lose a bunch.
I wonder if there is money to be made on ‘under’ on QB yards for season long bets.

I look at it. The shifts are usually small and don't involve key numbers (+5.5 to +4.5)
