Hi all.

I'm new to the whole sports betting thing. I'm wanting to place a three-bet parlay in Vegas. I want to bet on the winners of the NBA championship, the World Series, and the Super Bowl.

My questions to you are:

1) If I place this bet in Vegas and win, do I have to return to Vegas to claim my money, or do sports books mail or wire winnings by request?

2) Where are your favorite places to bet, particularly when parlaying? Do many sports books offer consolation payouts for 2-out-of-3? I know I've seen consolations for 9-out-of-10, but not sure if that requires an additional wager.
Casinos are not your friends, they want your money. But so does Disneyland. And there is no chance in hell that you will go to Disneyland and come back with more money than you went with. - AxelWolf and Mickeycrimm

That is not a wager you can make in Las Vegas. No book offers parlays on future wagers.

They will mail you a check.

You have to mail them the ticket along with a stamped self addressed envelope.

While the temptation is to send the ticket via registered and/or insured mail, rumor is, that it's actually safer to just go with normal 49¢ first class.

I don't think I've seen anything short of having to bet 10 teams in order to get a consolation payoff from a parlay. On the other hand, I don't remember ever seeing a book require you to make an additional bet in order to be eligible for the 9-out-of-10 payout.

I've haven't seen it either. But if you're going to be in Vegas anyway, it never hurts to walk up to the window and ask...

You definitely don't need a SASE. Just mail them the ticket and they mail you the winnings. You fill your address out on the ticket. Cost of doing business for them.

Ok, so I can have any winnings mailed to me, but it's sounding like I can't do a futures parlay. Is that right?
