My third slot machine deconstruction is ready for a sneak preview. Please visit Deconstructing Blazing Sevens.
As always, I welcome corrections, comments, and questions, in that order.

Great Work as always. Small error, but "video" is spelled wrong under "Acknowledgments".

The links to youtube should say "Blazing Sevens," not "Hexbreaker."
Interesting results. 89% return seems quite low for a penny machine downtown, but I suppose that is normal.

That is, sadly, the highest of the my three deconstructions so far. To recap:
Jackpot Party (Wynn) 86.111%
Hexbreaker (Main Street Station) 87.517%
Blazing Sevens (Fremont) 89.095%

It also illustrates what you said in the latest interview: the nicer the casino, the lower the return.

The Lock and Roll skill-based slot machine that we did back in December of 2011 was 90.0619%. Doing that was the reason I registered. Not that anyone cares, but I did part 1 and ChesterDog did part 3.

Certainly some cocktail waitresses saw me and didn't say anything. At the Gold Strike I was recording "Keeping up with the Jones'" but a security guard made me stop. If you go on YouTube you can see lots of videos of people playing slots, so it probably isn't that unusual to see people recording.

Thanks, I just fixed that.

To Wizard & Teddy's;
Wizard,
Thank you, as always, for the excellent breakdown.
I think that the draw to Blazing Sevens is a payout schedule that is confusing to the average player of Slot Machines. The average slot player looks around the casino and sees machine after machine of graduated payout schedules nearly strictly in accordance with the number of credits bet, with exception to the top one or two payouts on the third or fifth credit per line bet, or what have you. In my opinion, the average player understands that you must bet 2-3 credits per line in order for the 7's to be worth anything to him/her, but I also think that the average player will assume that the payout for the First Credit/Line wins is graduated.
In other words, the average player sees that Three Bells, for example, pays 10 credits on the first credit per line bet. I think that the player uses this information and forms an assumption, though the payout table says otherwise, and concludes that he/she is to receive 20 credits for two Credits/Line bet and 30 credits for three credits/line bet for the same result.
In fact, I've spoken with people who were betting max credits on the machine, and who were positively getting hammered, and couldn't figure it out because they were consistently hitting the low pays. Mixed Bars, and everything else. I explained to these players that the payout for everything not involving a 7 of some sort was the same regardless of how many credits they were betting, and they seemed quite surprised by this information.
Very few players take the time to read out how much, "Line 6 Pays," or, "Line 12 Pays," so they don't realize that the payout is not being graduated.
By the way, I know that losing a few dollars doesn't mean anything to you Wizard, but you didn't get where you are by giving away money, either. Why were you not betting the Max Credits per line? The reason that I ask is because you obviously knew that 7's were worthless to a 1credit/line bet, and I don't believe that there is a slot machine on the planet with a higher ER% betting LESS credits per line than more, a fact of which you are also aware.
Teddy's
I would say that the low ER is probably due to the fact that the maximum credits that can be bet on the game is 60 (20 Lines * 3 Credits/Line) or $0.60. That's an extremely low maximum bet, even for a penny machine, many of which have max bets of $5.00. The machine would essentially have to pay out less to maintain its $$$/hour value to the casino. Although the absence of bonus games and free spins would tend to speed things up a bet, that's still a really low maximum bet. I would probably suggest that it is the lowest I have ever personally seen, in my limited experience.
