What the heck? Instead of the usual Mini/Minor, it's now Minor/Major.

Why did they do this stupid thing?

Every single thing they've done has gone through a meeting of ideas, to a public opinion board, to a private testing, to the floor... sometimes with more steps. This is a psychological thing. People think they win more because "Major's" are more rare. So someone can say "I HIT THE MAJOR!"

It's the same reason they don't have windows, clocks, etc, etc. Psychological warfare on the general public is WIDELY accepted. "Like a good neighbor..." If you know the end of that sentence, then someone has infected your brain with worthless garbage in order for them to try to get your money/resources.
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

I would think people will get pissed off about getting fooled by seeing Major that they stop playing that gimmick.

Time will tell if I'm right or other new slots will replace mini/Minor with Minor/Major.

No idea about "Like a good neighbor..."
And I don't want to Google it if was designed as a cash grab

It reminds me of the exciting animations and music for "BIG WIN"—except the big win might be 2700 credits, meaning $27 in a lot of cases. Not that "big" these days, and yet…

You can credit (or blame) Barry Manilow for "Like a good neighbor…"

Just remember this: the casinos are your friend, and everything they do is to ensure you have a fantastic experience while you give them your money.
Everyone knows hitting a Major jackpot is better and more fun than hitting a minor or a mini.

I see 3 special prizes - a $10, a $50, and a progressive at $11932.58.

If you care what the names are, the house already won.

We can expect to see an 88 coin game featuring pudgy babies in color coordinated outfits, with prize names that translate as "rice", "soup", "noodle", and "dumpling", according to what is in their bowl. It will be a very popular game.
May the cards fall in your favor.

lol yeah that change caught me off guard too 😅 casinos sometimes switch naming or layouts for no real reason other than testing player reactions or standardizing across tables. annoying

Strange - I did a google search, and all of the images of Buffalo slots that have only three jackpots all say Minor / Major / Grand. Mini only appears when there are four of them.

They should call it Grand / Major / Mini. No minors allowed in a casino.
