I don't think a time delay lockbox is going to prevent search or seizure.
Law enforcement can take 3 hours obtaining a search warrant while you sit there and wait.

I think this idea is perfectly fine for anyone that doesn't have good self control. However, I think if you don't truly have good self control you probably shouldn't be gambling in the first place...

What constitutes a valid search warrant?
A valid search warrant must meet four requirements: (1) the warrant must be filed in good faith by a law enforcement officer; (2) the warrant must be based on reliable information showing probable cause to search; (3) the warrant must be issued by a neutral and detached magistrate; and (4) the warrant must state specifically the place to be searched and the items to be seized.

My point is that if you set the lockbox for 2 hours to get home without spending your win, the adversary in a civil forfeiture seizure can outwait you. Trivially.
I'll have to get one of those fire proof safes and fill that up with the bricks of $10,000 wins for the trunk in a shopping bag.
