Is it possible to figure out the risk of ruin for a slot machine? If so what is the formula?

It is not possible unless you have the probabilities of each individual outcome. If you have access to a PAR sheet you may be able to figure it out.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.
