There are people who collect those club cards. That's all I think it might be. Kinda funky way to collect them, though.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

Yeah, people collect anything nowadays.

Honestly, player's cards are not such a dumb thing to collect... lots of interesting variety, really cheap if not free, hardly takes up any space.... Seems like a pretty inexpensive and non-intrusive hobby if you ask me.

I recently bought a batch of almost 1,000 of these. Even though player cards are fairly recent developments, it's amazing how many obsolete casinos there are.

I kept and still have my Stardust player card after walking out with it on their last night as they locked the door for all-time before stripping & imploding it, most notably at least to me, along with some others I feel less reverent about. And I can certainly see some people having an interest in something from the Desert Inn or the old Las Vegas Sands, both of which I see available there. Even if I really can't easily imagine who would possibly ever make the market for some others I see offered via that E-Bay link, such as Circus-Circus and Four Queens. Maybe a retired drunk Circus clown out there somewhere?

At one time "rare" casino cards were going for a significant amount. I think it became a thing once rare casino chip prices skyrocketed. I remember the old Dessert Inn cards going for at least $100. You can probably get them for less than $10 now.

What they refer to as vintage punch hole slot cards go for about $20. I have some very rare slot cards somewhere.

I personally think Vegas memorabilia is very undervalued. People around the world collect it. One persons garbage is another persons treasure.

Me too and also the boardwalk card. I think it has holes in it like a punch card, cant remember though if they were used.

Its not an either or situation. My casino card collection fits into one of my shoeboxes. Nice thing about having size 14 shoes is the boxes are huge.

I would imagine the final end-user (collector) would likely value them most when they are unassigned blanks which did not get issued for use and are therefore not imprinted with some grubby schmuck's name. Unless that grubby someone happens to be named, say, "Francis Albert Sinatra" or "Elvis Aaron Presley." Or "Me" in the case of a person who is me. Looks like most of those shown in the E-Bay pics appear to be 'clean' that way. But not the schmucked-up ones displayed from the most current and/or trashy and least nostalgic joints at the likes of Circus-Circus & Four Queens. Unless "Kyle..." at Clowns*2 and "Gloria..." at the 4Qs are someone really special I'm supposed to know about.

Yeah 'cuz after all, how many surviving examples can there still be now? Someone would have to be nuts, part of a whole bunch of weirdo freakin' nuts hoarding weird nutty stuff in a basement dungeon somewhere...

Long gone. The idea is to sell merchandise. Not sit on it. This week I'm hawking swords. Mostly pirate, but a few others. Couple of razor sharp Samurai swords I suspect might be worth a heck of a lot more than I did when I bid on them.

Are they Hattori Hanzo swords??

One is. I got them from a costume store that went belly up. Most were cheap crap or toys even, but four were Musashi and one was a Wakizashi Kobuse. One of the Musashi is actually a Hattori. I assume it has a Kill Bill connection as I doubt there was a real person.
Completed sales on ebay look pretty good seeing as I paid $45 for the lot. I figure cheap pirate sabers will rock as pirate is a top five Halloween costume.

I once considered selling my players card because I got an offer
I was at the Plaza several years ago
I had gotten a players card many many years ago
I went to play and the machine did not accept my card
I go to the card counter and they said my card was real old and I was not in their system
Yippee, I signed up and got the new players bonus deal and a new card.
Somebody offered me some money for my old players card
I thought it was a bit fishy so I refused besides, he only offered my like 5 or 10 dollars.
Its just a forum. Nothing here to get obsessed about.

You don't need a sword. You need a trench knife. 12 inches of hardened steel combined with brass knuckle guard handle with a stainless steel skull crushing pommel on the tip.
