Now, a person with a little more time to spend(15 minutes) would be annoyed with roughly a minute Bonus and would choose the Medium Bonus, for around 5 minutes. if it retrigggers, it will be roughly a 10 minute Bonus and leave them happy.
Now, a person with an Hour to spend would choose the Long Bonus. The Bonus is 20 minutes, and retriggers for a 40 minute Bonus. The Player is happy with a 40 minute Bonus

Quote: rudeboyoiLike maybe you could get to choose between 10 free spins with a 3x multiplier, 15 free spins with a 2x multiplier, or 30 free spins.
There are quite a few games doing this now. I really like the concept because it involves the player in the result.
One of the oldest games to let you choose your number and multiplier is probably Hee-Haw. Mariachi Riches does too, I think, at least you pick from certain possible ranges. That might be older than Hee-Haw.
Quote: Mission146There are plenty of these slots, and a few that let you choose not to play Bonus Games and just choose a credit range.
When the free games feature is triggered in Wonder Woman, the player has to choose how many free spins to play, with more wilds available with fewer spins.
In China Mystery, you can choose to receive either however many free games (spins) you've won or a random credit prize. (The more free games you won, the higher the max credit prize will be.)

There are some Must-Hits, ironically called, "Quick Strikes," which occasionally result in literally over a hundred Bonus Games (all individually close to worthless) due to re-triggers. Furthermore, the individual machines to which I am referring also cannot be slam stopped, so you actually have to watch the reels spin the whole time.
These machines are beyond boring and are profoundly stupid. The result is a mind-numbing experience that is extremely close to not worth it even if you have a decent advantage. It is truly awful. I've found positive machines on perhaps five different occasions, and on three of those, have had to sit for over 100 Bonus Spins. Twice on one of those occasions.
On one occasion, I believe I ended up with 300-something total Bonus Games, the result was $4x.xx.
I went to the bathroom and got a drink. I figured nobody could steal the machine because I would get back, call security if someone tried to steal it, then they could review the surveillance video, take a half hour lunch break and there would STILL be twenty spins when they got back.

I've seen bonuses that take up to five minutes to complete, however most can be sped up. Usually you have the option of skipping animations, and if its free spins, most allow you to stop the spin and the cash count (which on some machines is excruciatingly slow).
The emperor game is notorious for slow cash count up. If you win a hundred bucks that counter (going up by pennies) can take twenty minutes alone with the most annoying music and I've seen people so determined to enjoy their lucky fruit they will sit and smoke a cigarette or just stare at the walls waiting for the money to add onto their credit meter.

Yeah, that would really suck if you were in AC and had to catch your bus.

Wizard, there are some China Shores Bonuses on Youtube that are 8 minutes-35 minutes. I have heard of someone winning over 700 free spins, and with retriggers it was a few hours long. ;)

Many modern slots have a bonus that can last a while. A retrigger may be involved.
A number of the Konami games (China Shores, China Mystery, Lago di Amore) can trigger for 80+ spins. If a retrigger hits, it can again be 50+ more spins.
I've seen a number of times where someone will hit several retriggers, and be still waiting for the 197 remaining spins to play off, after they've already sat there for 200+ spins. Their player club card often gets flagged as abandoned if they don't pull it. If you don't hit a button to abbreviate the win display delays (some people think that's unlucky), each winning spin can take 15+ seconds to display as it flashes each payline with a winning pattern and displays the credit win per payline (twice).
TLDR: yeah, it happens.
