Hello all,

I'm headed to Vegas in a few months, and want to play a minimal amount of slots while I'm there. I've got fifty whole dollars to spend, and:

1. I don't want to lock myself out of any progressives where max bets are required
2. I want to give Megabucks 2 spins @ the bonus qualifying amount
3. I want to get at least 50 spins out of my bankroll

So, I'm thinking I'll find some single-line nickel machines to make up the bulk of the spins, play a few .25 WoF (.75/spin) and maybe a few $1 WoF (2.00/spin), and the Megabucks. Does this sound like the best way to achieve my goals, listed above?

Mandalay Bay, Luxor, and Excalibur are my casino options, if anyone wants to suggest some machines.

Thanks for the wisdom in advance :)

play at the cosmopolitan and use there loss rebate promotion. I doubt they have any single line nickle machines but you don't need that to reach your goal since you will be getting your money back in free play anyways. You should avoid play playing slots and play VP or video blackjack. If you must play slots and you just want to have fun I would play a 25 -50 line penny machine, something like Lobster mania. The Family guy video slot is very fun but it costs 50 coins if you want the bonuses, its very bonus heavy. It dose have multiple progressives from $5 to possibility $800, I think. If you have the time there are a few Banking machines you could target and gain decent advantage, this may not be very fun.

She would need to double up her initial spending amount for this though as you must lose $100 to get the Cosmo rebate.

$50 isn't going to last very long regardless. Personally if slots are a must, I would play older penny slots. They usually have smaller minimum bets so you can play something like 20 to 25c a spin and last a long time on $50.

You can go to Luxor and play this for as cheap as a single penny a spin, I'd recommend 9 or 18c/spin though. :) The seat can also accommodate two people; my g/f and I played it last trip. We got 2 comped drinks and spent about 15 minutes losing $5 on it.

Or for video poker, playing one line of Super Times Pay for nickels isn't a bad idea. But the better games for this on the Strip I have seen are surprisingly at Caesars properties. MGM Grand has one Double Super Times pay unit for nickels which isn't godawful (6/5 Bonus - 97.36%).

The Tropicana is in the area you mentioned (across the street from Excalibur, more or less) and they used to have a loss rebate up to 300$ that went in 25$ denominations, so that might be another option. I don't know if it's still there though, as it's not somewhere I frequent.

Sorry, I don't really know about slot machines.
There is the Emerald Isle which is ALL penny slot machines and good food bargains, but it is in Hendertucky (a nickname for Henderson) just south of what people might call "Vegas". No hotel. Just penny slots and food and booze.

Tropicana is up to $200 loss now. Get half the next day, I think. The other half a month later with 11 or 12 months (not sure?) to use it.
