But at one point I became a bit tilted from shoving in bad positions or just sizing wrong in general in the wrong positions and losing my stack after just eliminating a couple of players and thinking i could shove with 55 in any position against someone who normally wakes up behind me with a bigger pair only to take my stack.
So i decided to go to youtube and do some quick learning about positions. To my surprise, my first tournament the next day, I had dominated with every pair i had shoved in the correct positions. I also had placed 1st, and 30 dollars turned into 1200 or so. Bounties included.
Whoever you were kind sir who plead with me to increase my knowledge about positions, I want to thank you and hopefully have this thread filled up with some basic tips and tricks for killing it at poker.

Around 1990 I started playing poker in casinos and read a few poker books. They all mentioned how important position was and how you would play the same hands differently depending on position. I just didn't grasp it. As soon as I started playing it all fell into place and was easy to understand. I just needed to play for it to make sense.
