a Nigerian prince once taught me to dye my money black and to ship it, only to use an expensive cleaner later to remove the black dye
drug mule, he ran drugs cross country. He
never got caught or even stopped. He said
always use a white rental car, white is more
invisible to cops. Never speed, always set it
at the limit exactly. Never tailgate, always
use your signals, never drive at night, always
use your seat belt. Have short hair, always
travel alone. Never eat while driving, never
bee-bop to the radio, never do the slightest
thing to draw attention to yourself. Never
give a cop a reason to even notice you, let
alone pull you over.
Wanna get stopped? Drive an old car, never
signal, never obey the speed limit, have a
brake light out, both you and your passenger
have long hair and tats, you drive at night a
lot, never use your seat belts, and bang your
hand on the wheel to the radio music. Look suspicious,
you'll get stopped.

Isn't there a word for that...? ...Profiling?
Sadly though I agree with you, because at the end of the day they do profile. So if you don't want stopped, don't fit a "profile."

I read an article once mentioned two mules got caught. Seems there was an accident and a cop doing what cops do when there is an accident. So they are worried with what they are carrying and decide to "act natural and don't look." Well to rubberneck is to act natural, to have two guys in a car, looking straight ahead, don't look at the accident, well the cop figured something was wrong and went after them.
Your mule's advice seems good, act nondescript but natural. Other thing is some roads, like I-95, are known drug-routes so you should rotate the cars you use. Cops know when you are trying to blend in too hard. Drive a U-Haul full of household goods and act like you are moving, for example. Good grief I think too hard on this stuff, people are going to wonder.

I've always heard that was more suspicious than going a few over or hovering around the speed limit without cruise control.
NO. The cops will seize it and tell you to hire a lawyer to get it back. Even a concealed weapon permit that specifically cites your business involves transporting large sums of cash will not keep it from being seized. The cops want the currency.Quote: AxelWolfI have asked before, I will ask again. They have a profile for people who have drugs
or carry a lot of money to buy drugs. Don't fit
that profile. Young, travel in pairs, tats, older
car, out of state plates, speed, pass with no
signals, eating while driving. Travel in pairs so
they can split the driving, eat while driving so
they never have to stop. Cops aren't all that
smart, but they are trained to profile.

Next time you go on a trip, look at all the people
doing the speed limit, there are tons of them.
Going too slow or too fast gets you noticed. You
hear all the time about guys getting pulled over
for speeding and a billow of weed smoke rolls
out the window and they find a hundred pounds
in the trunk and $20K in cash.

Avoid the police.
As a along term possibility, support the Institute For Justice. They're very active against Civil Forfeiture, among other things.

Not exactly Knew an antique dealer in Denver, Has $70,000 in cash, withdrawn from his business bank account. Heard at last moment of big auction from a collector in Florida. Plus several other auctions, many of whom insisted on cash or certified check for exact amount.
Last minute decision , bought ticket at DIA in cash. One way, would rent truck in Florida. And he is black. Must be a drug dealer for sure. Back roomed, cash seized, 4 year legal battle.
Remember when it comes to CASH, you are guilty until proven innocent. And sometimes not even then !

Perhaps it might be. But the more squeaky clean you are, the higher the chance to get the case thrown out on a technicality.
