Clarkston, Washington casino Lancer Lanes lost 25k in what police termed an inside job. A few days later one employee drove to Las Vegas an finished 11th in a casino-employees poker tournament held at the Rio.

I've always believed 99% of Vegas big win stories were always some form of a cover up of something and this story seems to imply it. Just about the only 2 people I remembered telling these stories were later found to be in embezzlement scandals.

This dude didn't have a very big win...he only won 9X his buy-in. Considering he supposedly stole from his own casino, he likely had a problem.

He didn't rob it, he embezzled from it.

Has a different bite to it than "rob your own", though, as you by definition embezzle from your own.
