Given my love of craps, football, and O'Sheas, I can all but guarantee my crew will be playing this in a couple of weeks.
That being said, I wonder if the Wizard (or anyone else) is familiar with this new game, and might have a basic analysis of the odds involved with some of the bets? Thanks in advance to anyone in the know.

Here is a detailed analysis by the game makers 3 dice football pdf. And their main page.

Thanks - didn't see that.
Looks like the best bets are the "no gain" and "under 4 yards" single bets, with 2.7778% HE.

Thanks miplet. I would try it. Seems like a lot of work by the dealer's to keep crooks from past posting though.
I welcome all comments and corrections before I make the page live on the Odds site.

Note that in "Rules" #3 reads, "If the shooter rolls a red 6, and the sum of the green dice is 1 or 2, then it shall result in a turnover, which is a failed attempt at a touchdown"
Actually, the three green dice totals that result in a turnover are sums of 2 or 3.
One possible minor grammatical change: The page says "With most images on this site, click on them for a larger version."
Shouldn't it read: "As with most images on this site, click on them for a larger version."

Oops. Leave it to me to blow 1+1 and 1+2.
Thanks for all the comments.

Thank YOU for doing such a quick analysis!
Quote: BozAnyone know if this game ever gained any traction? It was perfect for the old O'Sheas and any place like it. I thought it was perfect for their customer base at the time.
It is my understanding that Three Dice Football crashed and burned in a blaze of glory.
So would you say the game had a false start?Quote: WizardIt is my understanding that Three Dice Football crashed and burned in a blaze of glory.

First time in football where there was a penalty for not "holding"...
Actually, I really enjoyed the game, and even won a bit of money playing it. I think there is room in the market for a three dice game.

It's really the cost to the casino to operate which is the underlying issue, IMO..
Besides Sic Bo? Or do you mean one where the player throws the dice? Ricochet Dice was on life support forever at the Fiesta Henderson but, to my knowledge, never got much traction elsewhere. And I can't even count how many people have tried to do a casino version of Ceelo. I've personally done math on two different versions, probably five years apart. One guy even claimed to have a patent on it, which is amusing because the name Ceelo itself is an Anglicization of "Si-Wu-Liu" which means "four five six" in Chinese -- and I recall the Chinese version is hundreds of years old.Quote: AyecarumbaQuote: MathExtremistSo would you say the game had a false start?

Sort of like the guy who -- just ten years ago -- claimed to have a patent on bingo and filed a lawsuit against a Class II vendor. But I digress...

I do mean a game where the player tosses the dice. Ricochet had too many dice, I think 3D Football tried to keep it simple by using two colors of dice, and offering the opportunity to win on each toss (including the darkside).
Ceelo was previously discussed. For a game that so many are familiar with, I am surprised it hasn't found some followers in a casino. Maybe it is a racial/cultural thing.
