- The base game is the same as conventional keno.
- The player may choose 2 to 10 spots for the base game.
- The player should choose two Bonus Spots from among the numbers he didn't already pick for the base game.
- The game will draw 20 random numbers, as in conventional keno.
- If less than two of the Bonus Spots are hit, then the game is scored as in conventional keno.
- If both Bonus Spots are hit, then the player will play the Pick-a-Prize Bonus.
-
In the Pick-a-Prize Bonus there is a grid of 19 icons, with the following distribution. Prizes are relative to the bet amount.
Prize Count 1x 11 2x 1 3x 1 5x 1 10x 1 15x 1 Alien Attack 3 Total 19 - If the player picks an Alien Attack, then he will play the Alien Attack bonus (a bonus within a bonus).
- In the Alien Attack bonus, the Bonus Spots the player should pick three numbers to mark with cows and three to mark with aliens. The player choose the numbers previously marked as Bonus Spots.
- The game shall pick 20 numbers, as in conventional keno.
- The player will always get paid on his base game picks in the Alien Attack bonus, as usual.
- If no cows or aliens are marked, then the free spin shall act like an initial spin.
- If the ball draw matches at least one alien and no cows, then the aliens will abduct one of the cows.
- If the ball draw matches at least one cow and no aliens, then the player will win a multiplier to be applied to the base game win. This multiplier is 2x for one cow hit, 3x for two cows hit, and 5x for three cows hit.
- If the ball draw matches at least one cow and one alien, then the player will win a number of random prizes* equal to the product of number of cows hit and aliens hit. In addition, if the player has one or two cows, then one of his missing cows shall be rescued.
- The game shall keep playing until the player has no cows left.
Notes:
* Unfortunately, I do not know much about the random prizes, except they can be 1, 2, 5, 10, or 20x the amount bet.
This clearly calls for an example, so I posted some play for you on YouTube. The Alien Attack bonus begins at the 4:00 point.

I will probably do an analysis of this game. For now, do you have any questions or corrections on the rules?
The question for the poll is would you play Alien Attack Keno?
Is this out on the casinos yet? I have a feeling it would get fairly popular with keno players.Quote: WizardI just came across the game Alien Attack Keno at VideoPoker.com. Sorry, a Gold membership is required for that one. The rules are rather involved, so bear with me.

Not that I'm aware of. Usually anything at VideoPoker.com is going to get placed.
I agree that it looks like a good game and will probably be popular with Keno players. I would expect the hold percentages to be 8% to 12%.
Game 1 of 3 -- 04:22 -- 0 cows and 1 alien hit, thus a cow is abducted.
Game 2 of 3 -- 04:29 -- 2 cows and 1 alien hit. Because there is a mixture, players wins 2*1=2 prizes. These prizes are 8 and 8, which are both 1x the amount bet. He also gets the rescue of a cow because at least one of each was hit.
Game 3 of 5 -- 04:36 -- 2 cows and 0 aliens hit. Because only cows were hit, the player gets a 3x multiplier for two cows. However, he won zero in the base game, so the multiplier didn't help.
Game 5 of 7 -- 04:44 -- 1 cow and 0 aliens hit. Because only cows were hit, the player gets a 2x multiplier for one cow. However, he won zero in the base game, so the multiplier didn't help.
Game 6 of 8 -- 04:48 -- 2 cows and 2 aliens hit. Because there is a mixture, players wins 2*2=4 prizes. These prizes are 24, 24, 16, and 40, which are 3x, 3x, 2x, and 5x the amount bet. Since he already has all three cows, there is no cow rescue.
Game 7 of 9 -- 05:03 -- 1 cow and 1 alien. Because there is a mixture, players wins 1*1=1 prizes. This prize is 16, which is 2x the amount bet. Since he already has all three cows, there is no cow rescue.
Game 8 or 10 -- 05:10 -- 1 cow and 2 aliens. Because there is a mixture, players wins 1*2=2 prizes. These prizes are 24 and 8, which are 3x and 1x the amount bet. Since the player already has all three cows, there is no cow rescue.
Game 9 of 11 -- 05:19 -- 1 cow and 1 alien. Because there is a mixture, players wins 1*1=1 prizes. This prize is 40, which is 5x the amount bet. Since the player already has all three cows, there is no cow rescue.
Game 10 of 12 -- 05:25 -- 0 cows and 1 alien hit, thus a cow is abducted.
Game 11 of 12 -- 05:32 -- 1 cow and 1 alien. Because there is a mixture, players wins 1*1=1 prizes. This prize is 8, which is 1x the amount bet. Since the player was down to two cows, a cow is rescued, to bring him back to three cows.
Game 12 of 14 -- 05:38 -- 1 cow and 2 aliens. Because there is a mixture, players wins 1*2=2 prizes. These prizes are 80 and 40, which are 10x and 5x the amount bet. Since the player already has all three cows, there is no cow rescue.
Game 13 of 15 -- 05:49 -- 0 cows and 1 alien hit, thus a cow is abducted, to bring the player down to two cows.
Game 15 of 16 -- 05:56 -- 1 cow and 0 aliens hit. Because only cows were hit, the player gets a 2x multiplier for one cow. However, he won zero in the base game, so the multiplier didn't help.
Game 17 of 18 -- 06:07 -- 1 cow and 0 aliens hit. Because only cows were hit, the player gets a 2x multiplier for one cow. The base game win was 16 (or 2x the amount bet). This gets doubled to a win of 32 (or 4x the amount bet).
Game 18 of 19 -- 06:18 -- 1 cow and 2 aliens hit. Because there is a mixture, players wins 1*2=2 prizes. These prizes are 8, 40, , which are 1x, and 5x the amount bet. Since the player had two cows before the bet, a cow is rescued, bringing him back to three cows. It should be noted the graphics show the cow previously on the 54 square was rescued and then his number was hit, making it appear that two cows were hit. However, the cow on 54 was not truly hit because he was abducted at the beginning of the free game. I believe this to be a graphical error.
Game 19 of 21 -- 06:23 -- 2 cows and 2 aliens hit. Because there is a mixture, players wins 2*2=4 prizes. These prizes are 80, 40, 40, and 24, which are 10x, 5x, 5x, and 3x the amount bet.
Game 21 of 23 -- 06:43 -- 0 cows and 1 alien hit, thus a cow is abducted, bringing the player from 3 to 2 cows.
Game 22 of 23 -- 06:51 -- 2 cows and 0 aliens hit. Because only cows were hit, the player gets a 3x multiplier for two cows. However, he won zero in the base game, so the multiplier didn't help.
Game 23 of 24 -- 06:54 -- 0 cows and 1 alien hit, thus a cow is abducted, bringing the player from 2 to 1 cow.
Game 24 of 24 -- 06:58 -- 0 cows and 2 aliens hit, thus a cow is abducted, bringing the player from 1 to 0 cows, ending the bonus. The total bonus win is 688 credits, or 86x the amount bet.
Here is a distribution of the prizes received for a mixture of cows and aliens:
1x: 5
2x: 2
3x: 4
5x: 6
10x: 2
The average prize is 71/18 = 3.944x the amount bet.

Now, I calculate about 14.212 as the average.
(By the way, for the bonus in the video, I counted 24 games.)
Quote: gordonm888In the video, it appears that you have marked/picked nine spots -the nine spots in the upper left corner which are rewarded when you hit them. But the screen says "Pick 8." Why?
I did pick 9. Where does it say "pick 8"?
It says Bet 8, which is my guess where gordonm888 thought he saw pick 8.Quote: WizardI did pick 9. Where does it say "pick 8"?

Perhaps this new and improved video will help where I try to explain the game game going through a bonus.
