At the racetrack, some young kids were buying lotto tickets from the machine, one says to the other, "buy ten of those, it says ' guaranteed 80% payout', you'll win on 8/10 tickets"(I corrected them). Really made me notice how verifying ages with unattended lottery machines is not even serious, and cashing small winners directly at the machines for more tickets, encourages the idea nobody cares, nobody is watching, you'll get paid. Reminds me of the Asian metal ball game story from the Casino player years ago, where the writer hit a jackpot and the establishment would pay them, basically because he was a foreigner. They have these lotto machines around for a reason, and not even close to any human employee typically within normal direct eye sight, because sales go down when they're watched. De facto, de jure, kind of thing.
I am a robot.
