Summary: random spots on the field will have double the payout.
There are 50 spots on the field. If we assume that "big" and "small" are excluded in this feature, then there are 48. As seen in the picture around 10 spots are lit up. So to make it simple let's say about 10 in 50 will lit up.
Is this equal to saying that on average each spots payout is 1.2 times the original amount? Because if it is then there seems to be some serious AP's.

Some of the numbers look lower than normal (e.g. the individual triples are 150 for 1 instead of 180, and "all triples" is 24 instead of 30); it's possible that this counters any advantage from the doubles.

That variation is due to the fact that the game is offered in Macao, not LV or Atlantic City. That pay table is standard in Macao, nothing fishy.
And even with that low payout, I figured there is still some AP if the double payout is what I understand it to be.

If anyone gets any information on the probability of each bet being multiplied and by how much I'd be happy to crunch the numbers.

each lit spot will have its payout doubled.
as for the actual probability, i doubt they would disclose it. the best i could do is to get a count of the number of spots lit each time and then visually examine if the distribution look random. maybe also count the number of times certain "critical spot" lit up during a run etc.

I have painstakingly recorded the result of about 100 games with pen and paper. I know is not much but when you have to do it manually its still a pain in the ass.
The result is NOT random.
The "double pay" almost never showed up on "big" and "small" and "any number (the bottom row)" so we can ignore that.
The frequency of "double pay" on total of 4-17 for 104 games is as follows:
The distribution of "double pay" on "XY" (the 3rd row) seems random and in 93 games on average 2.29 spots (out of 15) lit up each time.
I cannot separately record the distribution of "trips" "any trips" "doubles" (I will call "1st row"), but the "double pay" is very concentrated in this area. In 93 games on average 4.82 spots (out of 13) lit up each time.

One of the Sic Bo machines I've seen somewhere in Las Vegas had the doubling feature, probably between 12 and 24 months ago. It may have at Gold Coast and... the Venetian? One of those newer upscale places on the strip that are basically two properties glued together.

While on the subject of Sic Bo, does any casino in Vegas have it there for play? I was thinking of a table as opposed to a machine. I checked NY NY when I was there in March and they don't have it anymore. I think it would be a fun game to try for a little bit.

According to this link the Bellagio still has it on their floor. I don't know from personal experience whether that's true, or what hours it might be open.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.
