Hi all,
do any of you know the odds of winning vegas 3-card solitaire?
what part does strategy play in the game?
the game is offered by Ash Gaming in William Hill, Bet365 and some other sites.
I also saw a version of it in Neogames' sites (Hopa, Karamba) but they took it down...
Thanks,
Smokington.

hi smockington,
i didn't find any deep analysis on the web which is kind of strange because as you mentioned it's offered in various online casinos but i guess they are confident that it's -EV. there are some sites mentioning "best" strategies but none of them show how they got to this strategy without proofing it.
i started to analyze vegas 1-card solitaire but it's really complex (52! combination of starting decks alone). i wrote a simulator to test different strategies. currently my best strategy achieves 9.33 cards moved to the top. under the rules of Everest casino you'd need 11 cards to break even.
i'm currently in the process of building a database of games and trying to analyze this deeper to improve my strategy.
cheers,

ps: i wrote an article about this on my blog. i can send you the link if you are interested. not sure if posting it would be considered spam.

This was a great thing to read about. I just really hope that things would really work out well and that you would be able to learn or to grasp a lot of things for the playing of online solitaire. Really learned something about this one.
