I was debating whether to come back on and post this because it seems kind of douchey to come back on and look like you are selling something but I would feel worse if people missed out on making money so here you go.

I have been staying inside most of the summer and so I have been looking around at various cryptocurrencies. Most of these have small value for the return or they start out pretty hot and then people find out about them and crash the price.

This one seems a bit different. CAPTcoin basically started at the end of July and will run for 50 days. The coins will stop either when the 50 days are up or 20 million are given out. So there is a hard limit on this currency.

Basically what you do is fill out captchas for a set amount of coins(hence the name CAPTcoin). It started at 1 CAPTcoin per captcha. We are now in the middle phase where you get .5 coins per captcha. In 9 days or so it will halve again for the final time and give 0.25 coins per captcha.

Not everyone wants to spend hours doing captchas. But if you are at work in a slow time or at home with nothing to do, it is something to build towards.

Right now if you were to trade your CAPTcoins to bitcoins it wil be a small return, maybe 2-3 dollars an hour. I feel(the gambling part) that after the distribution ends, the coins should have a decent uptick so this is taking a chance on future earnings.

So if hours of filling out mind numbing captchas haven't scared you away, here is the process:

1. Get a CAPTcoin Wallet . This is the site's personal wallet and is the best in my opinion. You can use a different wallet if you want but this one gives 30% interest for keeping your coins in it.

2. Start earning CAPTcoins you can use this Normal or this Referral. The referral link gives me 10% of whatever you make but also gives you 5% more CAPTcoins (.525 per captcha). There was my big shill but I won't be offended if you go through the normal one. I hate people that try to misdirect into a referral so I always try to give the option.

3. Start on Captchas. There are 3 captchas you will be doing for each coin redemption. They are tedious yet simple:

The first one is the standard word captcha I'm sure everyone is familiar with. No need to explain that one. The second one is a drag and drop one. Just match the symbol they want and drag it to the coin. The 3rd one should be a WoV favorite as you are combining 3 letters with simple match equations.

Sometimes these captchas appear blurry or hard to read. Don't be afraid to keep reloading until you get one you can do. Especially on the 3rd captcha where they give you the same equation only in a different font which is usually easier to read. Also the 3rd Captcha is case sensitive so be aware of that.

I have done a few of these like Dogecoins, Litecoins, and Stellars. Pretty much the only reason I am posting this one is I feel it is the only one worth people's time on here. The scarcity, lack or hardware requirements, and ease of use makes it a good choice in my opinion. The only real issue I have had is with syncing my wallet but it was explained in detail on the website and made it a bit easier.

After 50 uses you should get your own referral link. If the Wizard likes this and uses it, maybe can post his link somewhere to get people to use it and get a few coins for himself and the site. I plan on devoting some time each day to farming these and will be interested to see the arc they take after the distribution close in September.

I can't promise to be on this thread often but I'll try to check in now and then if people have questions or issues. It is a very simple process so I don't see people that want to do it having too much trouble with it.

Don't think anyone will be a millionaire from this but hopefully people with some time to kill can make a few bucks with it down the road.

So, I'm to become a mechanical turk, and I get paid for it in a medium that may have no value?

What are "they" doing with the broken captchas, anyway? Spam?
May the cards fall in your favor.

Sorry, I'm not questioning the motives of Perdition... but the motives of the CAPTCoin organizers.

If I wanted to break a whole lot of captchas, this sounds like an inexpensive way of doing it. I'm just wondering what they're doing with the results.

If you want to do it, more power to you. I don't understand the game, so I'm hesitant to play.
May the cards fall in your favor.

To put it into layman's terms they are just making it harder on their end to get coins so someone with a 24/7 bot doesn't get them all. You put in the work, you get coins. It's just extra security on their end. They also put up the captcha code so you could see they are benign.

But yeah they always could be lying and I don't blame you for wondering if the site didn't have some ulterior motive since a lot of bitcoin faucets I use do exactly that(which is why I wouldn't post those here). As far as I can see though, this site is pretty above board.

They say they're not captcha farming; there's just enough evidence to support that. If that's the case, how do "they" benefit?

What's the basis of their edge, and how much is it? "What's the scam?"

Well if you notice they have banners on the site so they are making ad money. I am sure they also either have a stash of coins or have people farming alongside the general public. The more the coins name gets out there, the more valuable it will be which in turn will be more beneficial to them.

That's how it usually works for these places. Dogecoin is a good example because the coin was at a certain level and then the owners started doing publicity including finding a NASCAR car and the value went up which made their personal collection of coins more valuable.

It is a very speculative, volatile and crowded market but sometimes you get a couple that are worth doing. In my opinion, this one is worth putting in the effort if you have free time. That's really all I have to say about it. I'm not the personal spoke man for this coin so it is really up to the individual if they feel it is worth doing. I feel it is along the lines of online gambling like the bitcoin thread was so I placed it here.

I have no interest in doing this, but I have to admit, the third one has me scratching my head.

Thank you for the information. I know some people would much rather you post about bunk betting systems and what you had for breakfast this morning.

I think this is interesting. I will tell my GF about it. Its hard to get her doing new stuff like this but once she starts something, fuhgeddaboudit. she likes cutting coupons and price matching, MyVegas, comp earning(but never uses them) , Gift earning on Facebook games like family feud and puzzle games. She knows it all low value however, it's her version of a treasure hunt.

No she is unaware of that, Thanks.

There are so many things like this nowadays. They had something where if you logged on to a McDonald's and other locations you got points, you could cash the points in for gift cards including Amazon.

Same thing when she plays Family Feud(it's fun and you make money) She is always playing VS Allen Kessler.

PS If there are anything like this feel free to mention them. I hear a few casinos (other then My My Vegas have) them does anyone know if they are any good?

How do "they" benefit when you mine a bitcoin?

Assuming that they are above-board, the point is that it's difficult to do. Just like any form of currency, the only thing that makes it valuable is its scarcity (along with some demand for it).
