How many players have been to Macua to play craps?
If anybody has been there how many tables do you think are in Macua?
What is the minimum bet and what is the max?
Do they run full tables, meaning that both sides of the tables are open?
Were you ever comped a trip to Macua?
Do any of the dealers there speaking English?
How many players do you see from the United States?

That is a pretty old page, the ad at the bottom is for bodog which is now bovada
Part of it went on gambling, and part of it went on women. The rest I spent foolishly.

While not disputing the age of the page, I believe Bodog is still the official brand name in Europe and the Bovada brand is targeted at US customers. I think.

Just found a mistake on Wiz's fantan page on that site:
Nim: A bet on two numbers, one of which is indicated as a push. The winning number pays 2 to 1 before commission, or 19 to 20 after. House edge is 2.50%.
should be 38 to 20

I played once at the Venetian last year in March 2013 at $100HKD minimum. 345odds. I believe it's now $200HKD min all the time. ($1 USD ~ $7.75 HKD) I don't remember max but it's on the low end.
I'm also following a recent craps thread (in chinese) at http://www.discuss.com.hk/viewthread.php?tid=22775780&extra=page%3D1 which says each of the following properties have exactly 1 craps table.
at Macau peninsula:
MGM
in Cotai:
City of Dream
Galaxy
Venetian
Sands Cotai Central.
Four seasons.
They tend to open late (noon or later) and they always have a full staff with a proper box. Also, there's some rails that keeps people from bumping into the stick.
When I played at the Venetian on a weekday night it was a full table of mainlanders and some Malaysians. Nobody was betting big, The dealers were competent but obviously a bit slow with booking bets. After each roll the box would explain to some players what is going on (like which number was rolled and so if you placed a bet on this number this is how much it would pay etc). The rolls were announce in English but people would give instructions and dealers would book bets in Chinese. I only played min pass with 1x odd with occasional place 6&8 but still lost my $2000HKD buy in very quick in like 15-20 mins.
The small number of people posting on that forum appears to be from HK. They seem to like to parlay bets a lot, especially the props. Unfortunately craps doesn't appear to be picking up much steam among mainlanders and they're the ones with the big money. It's just a fun game and not a serious game like bac for most chinese people. Another reason why craps won't be a hit anytime soon is because it's too complicated (that's how I thought too before I learned) and because it takes too many people to run it. A midi bac table only requires 1 dealer and can see more action than the whole craps table combined. There is a shortage of dealers in Macau because it is a job restricted to Macau citizens only. They get relatively good pay, about $20,000MOP a month with year end bonus.

One of my craps playing buddies went there, and all the tables were at 250 minimum bet this past week. Said all the players were Asian and he didn't see anybody from the states! Craps is definitely not a game that they play there! There are very few craps tables in Macau.

I went to Macau many years ago - to be honest my objective was to see every casino (and collect a chip from each). The main game was Bacarrat and there were a few unique games there, some in several casinos. There were a few casinos that were more American based then others, but I don't recall seeing a cheering type of game being played (I like Craps so would have certainly given it a go). As you say most the people are from nearby, it's a long way for someone from the US to go!

Also, 1/31 is Chinese new year so for the next week or so there will be lots of people trying out their luck in Macau. The increased mins should last a week or 10 days or so.

I was there a few years ago. It was EXTREMELY difficult to find a craps table.
That place is weird. The casinos are quiet.
That was the first place I saw Shoot To Win craps.
The table minimums were too high for me anyway at the table I eventually found.

Was there last June. First off Macau is awesome.
Craps at the Venetian is easy to find. Just 1 table though when I was there.
Also stayed and played at the Galaxy but I didn't see one there.
Cheers,

I was there last May. All big casinos have one craps table. The minimums are high though, $200 HKD, perhaps you can find a $100 HKD table at the Holiday Inn or Sheraton which is run by LVS during midweek play.
Craps in Macau is obviously not a big game but I have seen some action there. Playes are almost always Asian but don't bookk huge bets. Passline with odds and some placed numbers. I saw one dude only bet the field (Payout = double on both 2/12).
I guess, due to foreign visitors they need to keep the craps crews going but for the life of me I don't know why.
Just stick to what you are famous for....baccarat, blackjack, sic bo and electronic games.....oh and hookers and massages, but that is a different story for a different thread!

Yep, was there last May. The guys I went with took me to go and show me. Seriously, the videos on youtube does not do it any justice. It is a never ending conveyer belt of women. Some hot, a lot not, mostly all skinny and small. All of the wear WAAYYYYYY too much makeup. none of them speak English but i guess that would be part of the fun? Just make sure you negotiate in the correct currency. It could either be MOP, HKD, USD........Funny :)
I would say that a trip to Venetian is also in order. Although it is not as regimented as the racetrack, there are FAR more women hangng around there. Also if you like "variety" then Venetian is probably more your speed.
All in all, very funny and entertaining!

I'll be in Macau on the 13th. If anyone has any gaming questions maybe I could get them answered for you.
On a side note. Tipping in Macau? Who has successfully tipped a casino dealer in Macau? I have seen some tables that do have the little tip boxes but I've never seen anyone actually tip the dealers... Also heard when they do receive tips the house just collects them anyway! True?
Edit: Also I just got word Wynn closed their craps table. I'll get final confirmation when I'm there later in the week. :(
